Pros and Cons of being a Mylot Member

well, something that doesn't discuss everyday. maybe i can start and the rest of you can follow, eh. It's a good idea though but i may miss something in the categorizing both. so i hope you can add a few since some of you here are WAYY older than I am.

Well, for the Pros.
1. I think you get to be anonymous..for a while. unless you want to open-up.
2. You get paid what you work for..and No special treatment.
3. If you're regular or an oldie(based on post), you are mostly recognized
4. you get to know the person even if you really don't know him/her personally.
5. Sharing part of your knowledge, hence, exercising your brain, pumping out brain juice.
6. you will have fun and more friends. probably get close to them.
7. Trolls are not tolerated. minimum damage expected
8. Learn more about other online money making from other sites.
for the Cons. 
1. Insomnia or sleeping late will be often due to excitement.
2. Spend too much time, not taking care of other things.
3. break the rules, not just admin but members will hunt you until you "SHRINK"
4. People will be blunt and honest, so be understanding if his/her offended you
with out violating any mylot rule.
5. You can't keep you're earnings for long (unless you are online once in 3 months)
Being here for two years.but i think it's not an excuse not to learn more, don't you agree. learning is an endless process..

Hello Geredymoney,
that's the reality of mylot when you try to engage in a debate. when the topic heats up, that's the time that people would start rating you negatively for your actions. which is first, violation of the rules.second, they're just too sensitive for short.

Mylot is a great place to learn and to earn. For me, it's not about the money but the vast field of knowledge that is always present here. From Mylot, I gained a lot of valuable knowledge and learned some life lessons that I'll never ever forget. Oh gosh, I'm so lucky to be a member of mylot! :)

MOre like you are blessed to have gotten know this website. I am sure you will love it more as time goes by. i hope you become one of those veterans or oldies who will share the goodness of this site some day. i don't see much other oldies anymore, but some are returning. i hope you stay more.

Mylot is a place for me to escape to while waiting for something else. Right now I'm waiting for the left side of my face to heal and get the green light from an employer to actually be employed. It gets my mind off things I don't want to think about and no one can be mean to me.

For almost 2 months, I have learned to appreciate mylot, the site, discussions and my friends. I can say that there are discussions that help me to realize my capacity and weaknesses in life. For the cons, I failed to visit some of my favorite sites and I found some threads that demonstrate negative reactions toward the owner of the discussion.

two months is already a long time in mylot. well, i was happy that i finally got the balls to stop being addicted to sites that aren't really worth my time. some are just waste. as per teh negative side, we just have to be careful with it since it won't be easy dealing with people that has a different view.

I agree with you, there are pros and cons of being a mylotter. Having been here for more than 4 years have not only tasted my patience but I have learned to accept the colorful nature of human behaviors. Mylotting has indeed worsen my insomniac nights and coming here has become a routine and making mylot my second home.

I remember when a newbie indeed tested your patience. and probably she lost her own star because of it. well, as for me regarding to the sleeping problem, I've begun sleeping late in the evening starting around 12am.yes, mylot too has been a home for me. i hope you stay here for a long time too.

I have been a happy myLotter for three months and have to say that I have learned quite a bit on here. I have also been able to care enough for a great deal of members and assist wherever possible.
Although I am not quite a veteran I find that I am pretty organized as I have my limits and know when I had enough. As for any possible negativity I have not had any experiences personally but I do a lot of reading and know exactly what you are saying.
Anyways I do not see and cons since I have joined but perhaps in two years my opinion may change.

well, as long as you follow the rules, there won't be much trouble from you..or the admin. yeah, you're view can change as time passes by here. it's not easy though. regards to teh negativity, it's not that much anymore compare to the last time. don't worry, things will settle down and you will get used to it. @edwinaishappy (109)

since you are new, I welcome you to mylot. i hope you take time to read the rules of the discussion. yes, you get to have fun, make sure you follow them since the admin is active all the time. have fun but don't over do it. this isn't just another social site where you can say bad words.
