Are you sure you really do understand Dog's language or it is just your imagination?
Perhaps you have been getting along with a dog for a very long time and thus, able to understand them through their body language.
However, if you were to say you know what is the dog trying to say word for word, then that is really weird.

just look at the title ,my answer is amazing ,are you from mars ,ha?
actually when you have a pet for a long long time ,when you two or even more get more familar with each other ,a new relationship will establish between you and your pet.they will understand what you say ,and you sometimes just also understand what their actions or bark mean ,it is normal , because i have pet before ,i just understand him and he just understand me ,ha ,what a interesting thing it is

I would think that you are trying to do some scam or something like that. Np you are not odd many people think they understand the dog language. Lot's of people claim that they can do things but when they fail they become stupid and mess up their lives.
As for you, I won't believe you if you tell me that. I have some issues with these kind of things.

I have had dogs of my own that I could communicate with, with just a thought.
much of dogs communication is done with body language. some of it is hard for us to imitate because we don't have erect ears or tails.
But I do believe that their are many ways we can communicate with dogs. We just have to take the time to learn the language.

You are probably one in a million Bibispark. Absolutely fantastic. I would love to speak to some dogs through you as the interpreter. How do you learn that?

let me tell you how it started, i was walking with my dog under a hot sun...suddenly,i went under a shelter,it didnt know and continued moving.suddenly,it looked back and made a particular sound to me....i knew deep down me it mean something.so i noted the way it made that sound and i repeated that sound...immediately, it came to me and sat near me...the next day,my dog was relaxing and i was sitting down a bit far away and i made that same sound to it...it stood up immediately and came to me and it continued like that and thats how i knew that sound means something like "come here" but if i do something different and it doesnt understand..it moves its head in way ....and thats how i became intimate with my dog and i startes learning.being intimate with an animal, u can learn a lot

It is really amazing. Frankly speaking, I have never heard that there are somebody who can understand dog language.
Perhaps you are not weird, it is really possible for one person who has a god knowledge of dog language, but I want to know this is just your innate skill or because you have lived with many dogs for a long time.

I dont see any problem with it if you can understand the dogs bodylanguage and such things and I agree the posts from above that it will be weird if you understand the dogs word by words... because I doubt that even themself can communicate with eachother in that way.

wow...you really are something...being able to mimic sounds of dogs and understanding them. It think that's a talent that should be nurtured. I admire people who love animals that much...

You know what? I find it real cute! ^_^ I also talk to dogs but not on their language. I am using my language and I love it when they respond (of course by barking!). I also love dogs and I talk to my dogs everyday. It is not odd. We just appreciate and love them, treating them as one of us. I think there is nothing wrong with that. Happy mylotting!

I don't think you're odd at all. Dogs have their own body language, and people who gets to spend their time with them will understand their language. I use to understand what they want, they feelings, and all, and sometimes reply with a dog sounded-like.
But now since i got married, i don't own dogs anymore, since my husband hates them. So my ability to understands them just disappear through time.
