Well Dear mylotter i don`t know wether this is happen in your country or not. here in my place it`s really common issue that a perrent ask their son to marry to a girl of their choice, Do you think it`s fair to do so while so many single nowadays meet with so many girl out there that they might have their own relation ?

In our country, there are some cases wherein parents are the ones who decided regarding the person their children should marry but it's minimal compared before. For me, it will never be fair for both parties to marry each other just because of their parent's decision. We have our own heart and mind to decide about marrying the one we truly love and it is just right to fight for it no matter how our parents oppose to it. I will not sacrifice my lifetime happiness just for my parents sake, it's not fair. I'm grateful that my parents don't have this kind of mentality instead they love to support me on every decision I make..

Marriage is a life long affair. If there is no love between the two person, then its no use getting married. So i don't think parents should interfere with their children's marriage. On the other hand, if the children is too obedient such that they are willing to sacrifice their own life living with a partner they don't like, then that's fine i guess.

It stoped in most parts of my country decades ago.I am strongly against it for it is much too bitter to live with a woman I donot love.And it's obviously unfair for the sons and daughter.They have the right to decide who to love and who to live with for the rest life! Now I am wondering if it happens to you. :)
