I just took my car in today for its scheduled maintenance appointment. It was for the 24,000 km or 12 month inspection. The total cost was $224 :o! I can see doing this every 50KM or so, but $224 a year for them to tell you everything is okay seems like a lot! I understand that things can go wrong, but they should be doing some sort of general inspection everytime I get my oil changed. I guess that's the price to pay to ensure everything is safe and sound (or so they say). Do you guys take your cars in for these appointment (or at least an oil change)? Do you think it's worth the money to have this done?

go to a car shops, its way cheaper, and its way convenient than bringing the car to casa, they will charged you way high than those in car shops. its better to bring the car on checkup to ensure quality performance and optimize stability of your car

I thought about that too. But, I don't want to risk it since my car is still new and that might void my warranty. And it's sometimes harder to trust the smaller garages unless you, or someone you know, is 100% of their work. It's still hard for me to trust even the large dealerships, though. I guess this way, I will be guaranteed if something goes wrong, since they did the work ;)
