Forex... do you invest and earn money from it?

I'm thinking of trying to invest in forex.. I do understand the concept a little, but I'd like to know more whether anyone of you actually earned a lot of money in there, good enough for a stable income monthly?
What's the minimum to get an account? (I'm not from the US)
Which site is the most reliable?
Any good tips on what to invest?
Please advise, I'm such a n00b about this and I really need money as I've got debts I really want to clear as soon as possible.. Thanks!

We trade shares and invest a lot in the stock market and my husband has read up and done his homework and even has a degree in economics. Forex is not a safe bet no matter what people tell you. If you plan on making a living from it I have to say you are in the wrong business, you could lose everything within minutes. If you looking for good long term returns look into purchasing shares on your local stock market.

I'm afraid of stock markets because my dad was a broker and gone bankrupt because of the 1997 economic downfall.

I am sorry to hear that you are so desperately need the money. But as in investment in some area you aren't familiar of, you shouldn't risk your money in. About forex, I heard there were so many scam sites, and you shouldn't invest there. I just want online members to be aware of it. You might need to consider other options other than this one or online investment.

Not really desperate, it's just that I want to be very comfortable with my life.. that's all.. Trying to save up for a house, so I want more and more money so I can afford a nice home.. hehe..
So I guess I have to stick to old fashioned fixed deposit then..

I don't understand a bit about forex .many forex company is giving away some money into account to try there system but they all required you to input some money before you cash out .forex is not my cup of tea .people says forex which deal into some money exchange has high profit something.

It is very difficult to make money from fores, but after you master the skill, it will easy for you to make a big money. and it is also very difficult to master the skill

hmm, forex really is a bad idea if you are for the long run and not really up do date.
you will need to invest a lot to earn a little and will lose a lot in a heartbeat.
better for stocks even if they are also risky but a lot less riskier than forex.

Actually you can start from any amount. It does not matter from how much do you start. There are many websites which can make you start from very less like $10 but I advise you to play with virtual money for at least 6 months before going for real money. I have a blog where I have discussed about many methods regarding making money online.
