Taking Control Of Earning Online and Your Time

From what I've been seeing here on Mylot is that many people have been going to the extreme of earning online and have no control over their earnings. What I mean by this is people are no longer using sites to save money or earn a little bit of money on the side, they instead attempt to make a living my sacrificing all of their precious time into the sites they're working on. Only to find out that all of their hard work wasn't reward well enough and for that matter they join more sites to earn more and in the end they find out that even though the join a bunch of sites they still didn't get what they wanted.
What I'm trying to say is that people should take control of how they use their time instead of joining 100 PTC's and hoping they are all legit. What everyone needs to realize once again earning online isn't for everyone nor is it gonna be an income for everyone. It's just a way to get a little bit of cash or saving your self a bit of money.
I hope some of you understand the message I'm trying to get across.

Speaking for myself... I lost my Wage-paying job in March. I am nearly 58 years old, unemployment is over 10%. realistically I have no chance of ever getting another wage paying job. I know too much about life and the way things work for interviewers half my age to ever choose me. I apply for jobs every day
Frankly I think your attitude is rather condescending towards those without a job.
THEREFORE I have to make a living online. I work hard at it because it is my only realistic option to keep my house. I will write articles for 16 hours a day if I have to, but I HAVE to make it work. I do not expect overnight success and have some money saved but that is going down fast. Time is something I have and at the moment I am willing to trade it for a slowly growing income

Hi Philtrate,
I understand your situation, but the people that actually have a job are giving up their life, time, and mind in hopes to earn money. You on the other hand had no choice. This is your job, your one of the few who can/are making a living online, but what I'm trying to say is that not everyone will successed, nor will they work as hard as you would to survive. They all just want to become filthy rich while you just want to be able to support yourself and just be able to make it through tough times.

I agree with you, some people seem to think that they can make a living online easily. It can be done, but its not as well paying or statsfying as a real job, and there is alway the problem of it taking a lot of work for something that might not even be legit!
I only use this for treats, if i get £10 a month from my online stuff (i spend around 10-30mins a day on stuff, the 20mins difference is due to this site, depends if i see something i like to talk about, will take longer). £10 a month isnt enough to live off, but its enough to get a dvd, or to save up for a uni textbook.

Hello fpsninja,
I'm glad to know someone understands things somewhat the way I do. I do think it can be done just that not by most people.

i decided to join sites that i wouldn't have to invest any money into at all. Meaning I write for sites like Ehow and helium and they don't ask me for any money. Infact, I have gotten paid once from helium and since my payout came and went I am only ten dollars from another payout. It took me almost a year to get my first payout from helium. I have learned to put my effort into what pays. What pays are sites like Mylot and ehow if you can get in to write for them and other sites like associated content and others. If you look around to find work the best information is here on mylot. I go searching instead of posting a discussion. Sometimes that best information is from people who have been on here for a while rather than newbies who are just beginning.

That's good to hear I also started by not investing and have gone on from there and did well that way.

Hi Spartan217,
I agree with you one hundred percent. We cannot look at these online site as a full income sources. This is a fun, sometime, way to make a little extra money. We get so desperate for funds that we just jump for site to site hoping that the next one is better than the first one. If we keep our real jobs and part-time these activities, we could and would eliminate stress and disappointment in our lives.

People think that making money online is easy and instantaneous. it takes a lot of time to actually get a decent amount online. My reviews on Review Stream take me about a month to get my extra $50.00, and that's if I write five reviews at bulk rate per day.
People complain about not reaching payout on Helium within a month, because you have to get more than three or four article up on their site to actually get some decent revenue and that takes time. And then users are like when money doesn't instantly appear in their PayPal accounts. You could make a career out of it, that's what many YouTube partners do, but they never stop making videos. Even they have to work too.

I done a review of the season finale of saving grace and sent in for upfront payment on associated content and they denied saying it wasn't in there criteria for upfront payment well I posted it on there for daily performance view. I had over 100 views on it within the first week. Its up almost at 400 page views since I put it on.one of the highest I've had as far as per article. send me a pm on your referral and I'll look into it.

it's a website that accepts reviews for just about everything, their full rate is $2.50 and that usually is given to reviews of travel and more expensive items or local businesses. Their bulk rate is $0.50 and that's for movies, book, and Television show reviews. If you write a review that is at least 250 words long and mostly your opinion, they will buy your reviews and their payout is $50.00.

Most of the online work at home businesses and money making opportunities are related to some affiliate program. Those who have worked hard on internet to understand
finer details of affiliate marketing and other ways to promote a affiliate product or service generate a real income each month others who learn this fact that people are making good money promoting affiliate products usually loose money as well as hope (which is something really very bad and inhuman). So, its always better to move in a controlled manner and do things which you think are right and even affordable for you.
