So I have this guy at my job that apparently likes me. I never really talked to him but when I do he brags about having 4 checking accounts, all different types of credit cards and the whole nine yards. So one day I decided to see what I can get from him and I asked him to buy me lunch. How much is lunch, like under $10? And he told me that he wouldn't want to buy me lunch he rather buy me a restaurant. WHAT? who says that. Why couldn't he just admit he didn't have the money. I don't understand why guys start off being dishonest from the beginning its just not worth it..

CHEAP PRIKK! And a liar! Doesn't it tell you something? That braggarts are actually the cheapest there is. They are the most phoney of all. Stay away from them. They are a waste of time and effort.
Maybe you could start wearing a T-shirt that says "GET REAL OR GET LOST"!

Oh, I didn't answer the question. People brag to lie about what they have so you think they have more than they do have. People erroneously beleive that more stuff means that they are somehow a better person. It is wayyyy wrong. Simple is better. At least I think so.

I mean obviously women like to be pampered. But I got my own place, car and job I dont need any man to do anything for me. So why come up to me and start bragging? That is the point I dont get..

Think of it like this. You are a female turkey out in the wild. He is a male turkey. He puffs up his feathers and shows you the nest he built for a prospective mate. He tries to act and look like the biggest male out there, with the most 'stuff' to impress you, so you will come and live with him so he can mate with you. It all goes back to basics, in the end, really.

"I don't want to buy me lunch, I'd rather buy you a restaurant." Now that is one heckuva pick-up line if I ever heard one!
