I am SICK of the HATE!

I live in America, it is a country guided by fear, hate, and close mindedness.
Not to mention that celebrity gossip ranks higher in our web searches than actual news.
I am just sick and tired and worn out of seeing hateful Americans speaking out against things that they don't know about. They hate because they fear, and they fear because they don't bother to learn for themselves, and they don't bother to learn for themselves because the society makes it seem like you are a loser or nerd for even caring about important issues.
I am talking about the large amount of fuss people have put up about A mosque being built blocks away from ground zero. Muslims are not the Al-Quada, and many Muslims themselves died in the twin towers that day because, they WORKED there.
I am talking about the opposition to gay marriage. Who is it hurting? What chaos will ensue if two guys or girls you don't even know get to file their taxes together?
I am talking about Illegal immigration. There is a huge fuss about the law that passed in Arizona. That law, is simply a law to enforce a law that already existed: DO NOT HIRE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. The ENTIRE illegal immigration problem could be solved if everyone just followed the simple steps of not hiring illegal immigrants.
But the other problem is that it's SO difficult to be ABLE to work legally in America. The entire system is messed up!
I am talking about society's finger pointing, hating, and overall blame of any problem on whoever is appointed leader. It does not matter who the president is, society would hate and blame him/her for any problems we are having anyways.
I am talking about society's unacceptance of other cultures, such as LANGUAGE. Did you know that America does NOT have an official language? that's right, you are allowed and within your full rights to speak whatever language you please. I will say that in a mostly english speaking country, not knowing it will make it difficult for you. However, not knowing is also doesn't mean you deserve to be looked at like you are an idiot, treated with disrespect, or told that you are anything worse than the person standing next to you.
Let's not forget that we are all equal, not one person better than the other.
America needs to take a little time out, and reflect on our roots. We were founded on a country that is supposed to have a freedom of religion. Our Christian forefathers founded this country with their Christian beliefs. What are those beliefs? They are beliefs of loving one another, speading the good word, accepting and caring for one another. Have we lost sight of what this country is supposed to be?
Why are we hating eachother when we are supposed to be loving one another? So many people in this country tell me they are Christian, and that they "hate" Obama, that they can't stand "Muslims", that "the illegals" need to learn to speak english or get out of the country.
Why is this?
Why can't we love and accept and help each other out? Have we lost sight of the goal for the greater good and only started focusing on our own selfish needs?
It's disappointing.

This is not just happening in America it is happening everywhere. People are so stressed out and busy that they forget to use their manners. Competition and wanting to advance is causing people to hate, discriminate and envy innocent people.
It is unfortunate by it has to do with insecurity.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. That is one of the reasons that I became a farmer. I moved to a very small community, where they welcomed me with open arms, I feel adopted and loved and trusted. And I return all of those feelings as well.
Many of these same principles can be complained about in my own country, Canada. I am aghast at how violent the US has become and I am quite upset that our Prime Minister is following the lead of your screwed up country's mistakes. We are supposed to learn from mistakes and try to do better for our people, not make it into more of a fear mongering country.

Thank you!
I would LOVE to be a farmer and just live in a secluded land. I have never been to Canada, but I bet it's gorgeous!
I hope that this crowd herding by fear ends soon. Hopefully a large enough group of people will realize that fear is not the way to solve things!
Thank you again, happy Mylotting!

You are most definitely not alone in your beliefs.
It is disappointing. Everything you've said I agree with. For a country that is suppose to be accepting and embrace other cultures, we are filled with loud haters who are ready to to get rid of anyone that is not like them.
I have met those kind of of Christians as well- they "hate" everything that they disagree with and I wonder how in the world can you confidently say you follow Christianity and the Bible if you are spouting out hateful words and doing hateful things? As a Christian myself, I'm ashamed of them.
Sometimes I wonder and worry about where this country is heading. It's frustrating and disappointing.

PRECISELY!
How in the world I wonder can some people stand up and say they are in it for Jesus, and everyone else is a heathen?!? Did they forget the very important verse of Matthew 7:1 that states "do not judge, or you too will be judged. for in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be used against you"
Thank you thank you thank you

Well, personally i think usa is great country like other some country.I come from multiracial multireligion multirace country the things your can do in USA can only exist in our dreams only.USA have so much freedom and can do some many things in the public. In my country and other like pakistan india china indonesia, if we said the wrong thing we just disappear. And no one give a hoot or fart1. Do cherish your right to protest to object and to debate.Other do not have those rights. BEcause of that, usa is hatred by many too.I guess this is your gift and also your curse.Well that my personally opinion only.

I am grateful, VERY grateful that I have the right and opportunity to say the things I say. Freedom of opinion is deserved by all, even if I don't agree with those opinions! Thank you!
