The original trailer grabbed your attention with the exotic and the mysterious and, for us guys, the beautiful girl in her underwear on the beach. While the first few episodes left some confused, they just served to really hook everyone else to the show. The first few seasons continued to build the mystery and the unusual. Then they made the error of announcing that the show would be shortened to only 16 shows per season with only three seasons remaining and that these seasons would start in late Jan or early Feb and not in the Fall. Then the writers strike came along and messed things up even more. Everything was down hill from there. Sure there were some more great shows and even great new characters(like Ilana) but they got to last season with too much to do and no good resolution for the show. Thus so many people were left dissatisfied with the ending. What could have been just about the greatest TV show ever was turned into a show that was great for a while but fizzled in the end; too bad and very, very sad.

I agree. I was SOOOOO totally disappointed with the Season Finale. What kept me into the show was having all the questions. I kept watching hoping to get some answers. I should have known that not too many of my questions would have been answered when I learned that they were making it up as they went along. Lost used to be one of my favorite shows, but now I refuse to watch any JJ Abrams shows. Like that new one starting this Fall.

I like the show very much in first two seasons, and it become bored after that, there's a lot of question keep throwing out to the audience but no answer been given. The storyline is complicated, I expect there's reasonable answer for all the mystey at the end of the last season, but there's still a lot of question left unanswered, pretty dissapointed.

I disagree. I think the final season is one of the strongest seasons of any TV shows on TV. Some of the episodes have movie quality and are artistically done. The final season of LOST had a few of the best episodes of LOST.
I agree that seasons 4 and 5 could have been done better and it felt like filler, but they did answer some of the questions and it served as a nice "prologue" for the final season.
