What do you think it means to be truly happy? Lots of money? Being famous? Being attractive? Being popular? Having the nicest car? Let me know what you think it really means to be truly happy.

For me, being happy is being with the one you love. You will face all the problems together and you will be able to overcome all the trials in life. Having someone to lean on and depend on is the most precious one. You will be able to handle all the problems because you know you have somebody with you. You will have real happiness if you are surrounded by those who truly loves you.

Hi "mzbunnylove", From your point of view I guess I understand what you mean. However, have you considered the satisfaction you might get standing on your own and not having to depend on others for your happiness? Granted, in times of difficulity it is good to have loved ones and friends you can rely on but think of the satisfaction one gets when one accomplishes something on their own.

Truly happy is being healthy enough to get up and have enough energy to do the things I need to do and want to do, and the money to enjoy these things without feeling guilty or knowing that I will soon need the money I just spent for something serious. Truly happy is feeling good about the decisions and the way your life is.

That pretty much sums it up does it not? I think in the end that's what anyone wants. The difference is how we go about achieving that happiness that ultimately creates the "HAPPINESS" we seek. What do you think?

For me, being happy means having a stable job and a well off the "just getting by" stage. Not really having everything that i want but contented for what i have.

Hi "frontvisions" I know how you feel. Somehow it always comes back to $$$$'s doesn't it?

A verrry interesting topic, hmmmm, let me see. Right now in my life, as I am a senior citizen, (66 yrs. old); a young 66 mind you I would be truly be happy to not have to worry about $$$$$'s ever again. I live in Thailand on a retirement income and it isn't too expensive and that's GOOD! Living here was part of a dream when I was in that little skirmish called "Viet Nam" Still more $$$$$'s would add to the happiness. Secondly, would be that my lady and I would be able to do some traveling we would like to do. See places we have ever been. Especially for her since she has never been out of SE Asia. That would make her happy and I therefore would also be happy. To continue to be relatively healthy in my advancing years. To see the world get straight and adobt a "LIVE AND LET LIVE" policy and stop all the conflict. Wishful thinking of course but it would make me truly happy. Unfortunately the money is the key I guess to all of the above. So I have to say "MONEY"could really make me happy right now.
