I have always been a believer that Patience is indeed a Virtue. I think I have lived by it for decades or so. Patience have always been my arm of defense in my everyday dealings, especially so when I get to deal with annoying people. But of course, it easy said than done. Imagine, you're being human to a human being that's acting as if a mere specie of the animal kingdom. So what I usually do when the 'calling' come, in my lowest tone, I simply count from 1 to 10 in a repetitive manner until such time that I can let go of the annoyance/s. My other option would be is to recite a verse from the holy book because it will give me calmness afterwards to reflect. How about you, what's the "virtue" you believe in? How do you practice such a virtue? Virtuous thoughts are most welcome.. ;)

Patience is my virtue in life. They say overcome your weakness and you'll find your strength. I admit patience is also my weakness. The need of patience comes in many ways from small to big things in our lives such as in our goals, people around us or even waiting greens signals in traffic lights. I used patience in dealing with my goal in terms of slowly but surely. About the people around me, it depends, if they annoys me I simply ignore them. And in waiting, I just used my time wisely by maximizing it.

virtue? hmm.. patience is surely not one of mine :) but if i have one virtue that i hold dear and practice in my everyday life, that would be thankfulness. i'm just so thankful for everyone around me and also the things that i have and don't have as well.. i practice this virtue by thanking Him the moment i wake up. As the day passes, i make sure to express my gratitude to people who helped me or done simple things that made me happy. we should be thankful for everything that we have because we don't know how long we will have them.
as for patience, well, im getting there so he'd better wait! anyone here knows the quickest route to patience? :)

Hi, ania66!=)I have lots of virtues long practiced that have been helpful in living life to it's fullest(like faith, love, honesty, loyalty, forgiveness, trustworthiness etc...) but the most that I hold on to is the one you accounted for(patience) and the other one is humility.Patience because it's our cheerful acceptance of life, by accepting that not all significant things that we want could only be achieve overnight. I believe that "all good things come to those who wait".By patience we learn to develop equanimity and to not be influenced by the ups and downs of life. And humility because, a humble heart is full of acceptance, peace and love that flows naturally. This virtue has taught me to keep my feet on the ground by not acting superior to anybody and by not looking disdainfully to the flaws of what others have. I hate proud people who takes credit for everything and who even takes credit for what they imagine they have done, at the expense of stepping on to others to whom righful reward and credit should be awarded. I believe that patience and humility are rewarding!=)
