I know there's the old saying "never too late to learn", however, do you really think so?

Yes I do agree it is never too late to learn. But one question could be asked to what avail? Such questions arising in peoples's minds only makes learning past a certain age not so attractive to many people. A majority of people would stop learning after they leave school. But some people do find it interesting even after they find no apparent reason to learn. I am one of them. I love to learn something or the other. Even though I know I will not be directly able to apply technical learning, by technical I mean say Engineering subjects that is my profession, or allied subjects like Physics and Maths, i still like the intrinsic beauty of knowledge so I learn. But there is one other way to make learning very interesting. Change what you want to learn with you your age and the relevance of it to your life. Like if you have been a professional in some area, a later life learning could be Management. Or may be if you have a way with people you could learn something of Behavioral Sciences like Psychology, Human Resource Management etc., Many people metamorphose into trainers. The third way for retaining and fostering an interest in learning is to learn subjects you once liked but did not take up a your life's path because some other considerations. Study of literature, new languages fall in this category. I can go on and on. But I hope I have addressed your question sufficiently

Yes, I really think so. I tried to learn English about 10 years old. However, I can't reach to excellent skills. It's very terrible! Starting to learn now, don't stop!

Don't stop trying to learn English. You will eventually become fluent if you practice constantly. There are those who learn languages in their 20s, 30s and beyond and they develop a degree of fluency that is acceptable in the countries where the languages are spoken. If I'm not mistaken, Celine Dion didn't learn English until she was in her late teens.

It's never to late to learn most things. Maybe there are some things that ought to be learned at an early age, but most things may be learned late in life. For instance, I learned how to type at 25 and now, my typing speed is 70 words per minute. I learned how to speak and write Korean at the age of 23. I learned how to play the flute at the age of 19. I'm now 34 and I haven't stopped my quest for learning. I think the most outstanding example is Grandma Moses, who began painting in her '70s. Her works of art are legendary.

I think that there is some truth to this saying. I think that it is somewhat truth that it's never too late to learn. It's true that, as you get older, it gets more difficult to learn, but it doesn't mean that you can't learn anything the older you get.

They also say - "Knowledge of anything is not bad". But in this context, they have not defined the time when this knowledge should be acquired. But is understood that this knowledge should be acquired before you are in a situation to make use of this knowledge. Now when you are going to need this knowledge is something that destiny decides not you. So it would be wise enough to acquire knowledge at an early age. On the other side of the coin, life is full of teachings and doesnt look at the age factor. Considering this, there is no age at which learning stops. Confusing but this is what I feel. So I think I would accept that old adage - "never too late to learn"

Thats true. Its never too late to learn anything. We learn lots of things we learn everyday. This can only happen when we drop our ego's. if we have the feeling that we know everything then we will not learn anything.

I believe it's really never too late to learn. Although some would say that there are some things that you would absolutely never learn when you're old, but you can still earn some right? If you say that it's too late to learn when you're old, then you're ruling out the possibility of learning right? Anyway, I believe that as long as you're determined, you persevere, and you're not losing hope, then I'm sure that you'll be able to learn anything you want. Also, determination is always the key to learning. Even mentally challenged individual can learn a lot if they're really determined.

For me yes. As long as you live in this world the process of learning never fade. Wherever you are, whatever you do, you will learn something new and adds new ideas.

Ideally there is no age when you should stop learning. Learning is how we survive and progress as a species and it brings great enjoyment. However, when the mind begins to degrade or some diseases may cause it to be "too late to learn". And yes determination is the key to succeeding in learning anything. It takes repetition to learn and if you just give up you may end up forgetting a lot of things. ;)
