I think Taylor gets nervous when she sees big crouds and the echo doesn't help at all. She sounds very good when she sings to a small group of people wearing casual clothes. She is not the best singer but she is an amazing songwriter and for someone her age she is very mature. I admire her.

Most artists don't sound exactly the same live. Atleast you know she's singing live and not lip syncing. I don't think she sounds bad live it's just not CD quality. I don't want to hear Cd quality when I go to a concert though. I want to hear her real voice.. I've been to one of her concerts and I still think she's talented and has a nice voice.

She's okay, but I like Carrie Underwood more than I like Taylor Swift. Carrie is just more genuine and she has more soul to her voice.

I've heard her sing live and I've heard her recorded songs and they're pretty much the same. Save of course for the high notes. Anyway, I think her songs are pretty cool and she's a cool performer. I'm really sensitive to keys and yeah sometimes she's off key as well as other performers performing live. There's really few artists who are always on key when performing.
Anyway, I like Taylor Swift's voice whether it's live, recorded, or even if she's only talking. I has a melodious sound to it.

I haven't heard a lot of Taylor Swift but I have heard the recordings and seen some performances of her on TV. From what I've heard I'd have to say yea, there is a big difference. I think most of her appeal is how cute she is and that fact that she writes her own songs. She's not an astounding singer. What I like to keep in mind when listening to a performance compared to a recording is, in a recording studio, it is quite, you get your own headphones to hear yourself clearly, where as when performing, especially the size of the venues she's performing in, makes it harder to listen to yourself. She probably gets a small ear bud in one ear to hear herself but then has her voice echo back at her a few seconds later from the arena. It makes singing on beat and on tune very hard. But when it comes down to it, I've heard worse from CD to stage.

Most artists these days sound worse live then they do on CD's. It's probably because of difficulty hearing herself and the pressure of being in front of such a large crowd. Some artists also dance while they sing live which makes it much harder.
