I didn't get to watch the show but a lot of my friends did and was giving a blow by blow update in Facebook. Our hopes were really high since a representative from our country go close to the crown. They said she sort of messed up her answer in the final interview. But the point is she made it to the finals against 100+ girls. And after the sad news yesterday, this is a welcome news for us. Were you rooting for Venus Raj? If not, who?

This is not something I follow. To a certain extent I believe that these sort of competetions are rigged for political purposes.That does not detract from the fact that your lady did so well as no.4.
For example, the Eurovision Song Contest (or whatever it's now called)is often decided in favour of nations wishing to join, or recent new members, regardless of the song or singing. It also made me wonder how Israel got to compete!
Turkey is an applicant, so I can see that. Were they inclused just for political balance?

Her winning is really in a perfect timing after what had happened yesterday. So even if she did not win the contest. I am still proud of her and she is really so good in what she do. Knowing that 4th placer is also a big thing. Its been how many years that none of our candidate did not end up in the top 5. We are always remain in the top 10. But know she made a remarkable success. Kudos Venus
