Does a Soulmate should be an opposite gender?

Hello, I'm just wondering if its possible that your soulmate could be with the same gender? Long time ago I keep on asking a friend of mine which is also a female, if we met before. And surprisingly she also feels the same, and she just can't remember if when. We asked ourselves if we could be soulmates? Is that possible?

Not quite. Soulmate could be as same gender or opposite gender. It could be a friend or a member of the family. I read somewhere in a book/magazine that soulmate is also what we called your twin soul.

not necessarily. your soulmate can actually even be your sister or your parent.

Your soulmate could be anyone. Of any gender, race etc., and as the others said it could be your sister. You will never really know. I just always go with my gut on matters similar to this. Good luck! :o)
