What do you think would happen to us if in such event these superstitious deities that we believe in or things such as reincarnation and all that are not true? What do you think would happen to us after our death?
Can you guys actually picture such a thing? I can't and I am not religious!
I actually think we will just fade into nothingness. Just like how when an ant dies the world still spins.
I don't know this is my own personal view. What is yours?

I feel mankind needs to believe a higher power does exist. I can even surmise no one believing it would make for a very destructive world.
I understand when you say you are not religious, perhaps what you are saying is that you have beliefs you just do not hard core profess, maybe I am off on this.

How can humans possibly be any more destructive than they already are in the name of religion? Look to most of the wars being fought right now - most of them are over religion - and the total lack of compassion by the religious for those of other religions (check out the Islamic center 2 blocks from ground zero hatred).
I have yet to meet an atheist who was intolerant or bigoted against others the way that religious people are. Most atheists are also humanists, meaning they place great importance upon the welfare of others. Besides, since atheists know this is the only life we get to live, don't you think they'd want to make it as worthwhile as possible? Causing destruction would not be logical.
Also keep in mind that atheists tend to be better educated than believers, which is why 93% of members of the National Academy of Sciences do not believe in a personal god. These are not the kind of people who believe in destructive practices.

I never impose my religious beliefs onto others especially atheist and or antagonists, one thing I have noticed though is those who are athesists and or antagonists try really hard to disprove those with religious beliefs.
Have a good day.

But you did impose by saying, "no one believing would make for a very destructive world." You assumed that those who don't believe in god would cause destruction.
The facts disprove religions, atheists only try to make them more well known. Most atheists aren't okay with billions of people in this world deluding themselves with religion and the bigotry, hatred, and violence that these religions create. That is why they try to share logic with those who are religious.
You have a good day as well :)

Hi hari, honestly it doesnt matter at all. It is there among us humans , what about animals ? one wonders do they have a religion and god? if not why not? we live and then die and the world and life goes on as if nothing has ever happened. So dont worry, we are just a miniscule part of the system..have a nice day

Hi hari, I think that we all have the knowledge that there is more to life than can be comprehended with the five senses. That knowing lies within each and everyone of us, although some have buried it so deeply with their constant denials and refusals to even consider the thought, that they have no idea it's there at all. Of course your question as to what would happen if there was nothing more is quite simple, we would just know nothing but that isn't possible, not even for the ant. Life cannot fade into nothingness. We may never understand the mystery while we are on the earth but live this life now, be happy, have fun, show compassion for others and know that all things are working out as they should. Blessings.
