Staving off boredom

What do you do to stave off boredom at work? Advice urgently needed, as myself and the other two temps in my office are sitting around with nothing to do, until some more work arrives. I'm sitting around playing Minesweeper on the PC at the moment.

If you have internet access, you can come on MyLot, a survey site (like Opinion Outpost), or even a site like ChaCha to make money when you're at work - which I think is a pretty awesome concept if you ask me. Otherwise, bring a notebook, and make to-do-lists, thoughts, budgets, etc (this entertains me a lot when I'm bored!) otherwise Crossword puzzles and Sudoku also help ease the pain. Good luck to you - I hate being bored!

If you have an iPod, bring that, I actually got fired from work because I staved off boredom with YouTube videos.

I suggest doing something more productive with your time. Take that time to work on something you enjoy doing but don't feel like doing once you get home. That could be writing, reading, studying up on your fav topic, school work if you take classes, etc. Don't just waste the time, and there are many people who wish they had the time at work to spend on their personal goals.
