ok, hi mylotters! were you the ugly ducking growing up, but is now the beautiful swan?? I know so many people can relate to this story! I've heard it all. From the begining to the end. But my question to you is just that? Whats your story? Were you picked on back then because of the way you look, but is now so beautiful nobody can say anything?? Do tell! As for me, I would not consider myself and ugly ducking growing up, but i definitely improved w/ age! Tell me your story!!

I wasn't exactly the ugly duckling, but we all improve with age.. Because I'm half black and I grew up around mostly my white side of the family.. Well I went threw many bad haircuts and many bad hair styles & hair products. Now that I've figured out my hair, things are improving. It's actually surprising how much that can affect the way you look.

I agree. what you wear, how you style your hair all comes to play with how you look some people don't care about how they carry thereselves as for me, i care. always have, always will. thanks for sharing!

It's true.. Even if you were born with amazing good looks you need to know how to carry them. There are some people who are seen as unattractive, but they really aren't. It's just they don't know what to wear, or what to do with their hair, etc. Some people play it off like they don't care but in reality a lot of them do.

Even as a child, i didn't see myself as being attractive at all. I truly felt like the ugly duckling. Since I've never really seen myself as being beautiful, it's hard to say if i have ever come close to being the swan. I think I'm probably somewhere in the middle.

I would consider myself like you, improved with age. I was overweight most of my life growing up, shy, acne, etc. I grew up losing weight through a gastric bypass, dyed my hair blond, and very talkative now. My acne cleared up leaving no scars. I feel pretty good. On my Facebook account I have run into high school friends and they look pretty good but alot of them are overweight now. I think it's so important not to judge on the outer appearance. My neighbors daughter had a friend who I thought was an ugly duckling. Just recently I saw her and she was a beautiful swan. Very gracious looking. It's amazing how we can end up looking with time. It's usually the girls with the looks that end up losing their outer beauty fast.

You are so funny Keshia, I must say too that your story reminds me of my Dad's grey hair. He is of blessed memory now. I asked him then why is he having so much grey hair on his head while his elderly brother seems to be having few that can even be counted. He Laughed so much that tears were coming out of his eyes. Then comes the answer 'I have the grey hair because I have experienced a lot of hardship in life before getting to where we are now'...what a thoughtful answer! Hair can go grey due to stress, worry or depression and some are genetically capabilities one inherit..but hey Dad, you can dye it up...But he waved the suggestion aside, I am not afraid to die. Apart from the grey hair, I am getting old. Have you got grey hairs too?
