My usb cable for my digital camera is buried in my storage in another city. Many times I have attempted to retrieve it, but that would require me to wade through a whole lot of precious items(junk)and boxes and things like that. So I have been trying to find a replacement. The problem is that many of the local stores only sale a standard size, which is too big for my camera. I found the perfect size on Amazon.com, but by the time I get through with taxes and shipping and handling, I will have paid more than $15.00. Does anyone know where I can get a good price on a usb cable cord? I have a GE A835 camera.

I got a SD card reader at Walmart for about $9. I just put my memory card in it to transfer my pics to my computer, or to just view them. Good luck. How is the new place? Are you moved in, how soon will you get to live normally and have all you stuff with you and out of storage? I sure am nosey aren't I. I was at the office the other day, I had to think of you. Our song came on the radio. "Sittin by the dock of the bay" I just had to sing along and tap my foot. I thought of you and smiled.

I am settled in to my new place and it is pretty cool, for now. I have been trying to get my on place since 2001. But for one reason or another it has not happened. With the economy the way that it is now, I am still refusing to give up hope. I am on a fixed income, so it makes things a little more difficult, but I never give up hope.
I will have to find out about this memory card reader. I had never heard of it. Thanks for the information. I have not heard our song in a long time, but now that you mentioned it, I may go to Youtube and listen to it. By the way, I found out that my old roommate who use to play that song so much passed away recently. She had diabetes.

If your camera uses a card of any kind, you can get a card reader, but it will probably cost you as much or more than the USB cord. I would say to check Craig's list for a card reader, or go ahead with the $15 because that is pretty reasonable.

Does you camera use an SD card? Is there a Radio Shack store anywhere near your location? When I took a photography class, I borrowed a camera but its USB cable was missing. Instead, I used a gadget bought from Radio Shack which I can place an SD card from a camera into. Then plugged the USB cable from that gadget into a computer's USB port to give me access to the photos.
