Hearing tha some people of Christians have a planning for burning Koran to mark ninth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, I do not agree for them like religious leader in my country.
Religious leaders and promoters of pluralism in the country have condemned the plans of a church in Florida in the US to burn copies of the Koran to mark the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The most important o do is building dialogue continually for peace between Islam and Christians (West). What's your opinion?

Real Christians do not burn other people's religious books. But fanatics in all religions promote hate and destruction. I'm sure I'm not mistaken, but Jesus said to love our neighbors and our enemies.

Oh my gosh. In my opinion, they are not Christians. Pretending to be a Christians but not Christians at all. True Christians must build the relationship between Islam and Christians.
That is weird. I remember what satanist say that there are lots of Self-proclaimed Christians here on earth.

This is really sad.The best position to take in today's luralistic world with freedom as the birthright as every person born, it is not in good taste to do such actions. One must respect the Holy Book of any and every religion. This doesn't mean that one should delve into other religion unless that happens to be one's interest. But respect for all religions is not too much to ask in an enlightened society.
It is not true that religions are telling one to the wrong things. It only a few misguiided souls who would try to alter the words of their books and get into the act of denigrating one while holding their own as superior.

So-called Christians who do something like that are not acting in a Christian way, they're acting out of hate. They're just fools, easy to ignore, let them be :)

The burning of paper ,does not bother me, it is merely paper.
What DOES bother me is the idea. The disrespect. The insult.
Nothing can be accomplished by burning the Koran except anger and hurt and indignation.
I think many still labour under the delusion that the 9/11 attacks were carried out in some attempt to convert people to Islam. I think too that it is not entirely the fault of the American people that they beleive that, they were lied to.

Perhaps it is better to get the motive from the perpetrator, than the former president.

It has long been bothersome to me, to watch the news broadcasted in the USA and compare it to the news the rest of the world is seeing. I think the people are frequently misled and it actually makes me angry.

I read both the links and am sorry to say that it has increased my Islamophobia rather than diminishing it. One line says, ‘In order that the Disbelievers do not dominate’, which then indirectly means that Islam should dominate over others.
Another line says ‘in order to liberate Al-Aksa Mosque and the Holy Ka'aba Islamic shrines in the Middle East’ … the Al-Aksa mosque shares its boundary with the Temple Wall, why cant it remain as that? Throughout both the links, hatred against the Jews is so strong that it really is scary. Nobody can deny that that particular area was inhabited by both the Jews and Palestinians for centuries…both have equal right to their homeland, why cant the Muslims ever accept that and work out a sharing formula? Why are they hell-bent on wiping out Israel? Hate begets only hate and while I DO NOT support American policy of aggrandizement, this –eye-for-eye theory of medieval times, should not be applicable in these days. By dint of oil, the Islamic world is strong enough to have forced the USA to a negotiating table for a workable formula over Israel but I believe Muslims want the entire pie for themselves, they don’t want to share.
BTW, I did not know that the Kaaba was ‘occupied’…its in Saudi Arabia after all, the ideal Islamic state, isn’t it?

There the same as the catholic invaders back in the hundreds of years ago when they burned other religions like the Mayans, they thought they are worshiping the devil so they killed their religion. Christianity is cruel as it conquers the world. that is just me.
Anyway about this incident I guess the ones who wants this to happen are reincarnation of the people I mentioned, cruel, and horrible.

I think that people who go that are awfully misguided and by no means are they acting in a Christian way. But I am horrified that a church will sponsor that. That does not sound like a church (whatever the kind) but of a cult based on hathred.

I do not think burning Koran is a good idea. It would only fuel more bitterness. This would results in more attacks and more retaliation. The best thing to do is to win them over with love. I want to ask them what will they achieve by doing so?

Their crazy, I'm a christian but things like this makes me feel bad. We have to respect each one's religious sect and it should not be regarded as war parameters. What the hell are they doing. Respect Islam as I believe most of them do respect us Christians too.
