Personality and Religion

Very mush they do. Much more than one can imagine. I woud go to the extent of saying including one's management and coping style, could be traced back to the religion.One funny thing I have noticed is even avowedly, covertly or overtly irreligious people could still be imbibing their old religious response styles. Even though they have supposedly eschewed their religious observations i.e. have become non-practicing religionists they still exude the same predilections their religions would have "burnt" into them! I have too many examples for this!

I don't know. Maybe if you talk about spiritual things or other things which are related to principles, then they will guess my religion. This can only happen when the other one knows how my religion is. But in other cases I don't think so. I think that personality and religion interrelate only when you are raised that way and you try to live by your religion, if you can make a way of living from it. That is very difficult, but I like to think that, although I like "life"(if you know what I mean), I try to live according to my principle which are from my religion. I don't steal because it is a sin, not because it is prohibited by the laws of the country. I don't steal even if nobody can see me, because God is always there and He sees everything. And so on. But I know that I am far from making from my religion a way of live, my religion only influences my life.

If I met someone and had just a chat with them, I highly doubt they would know except if I told them. Unless of course they are a prophet of God, then maybe as well. But in general, any guess would be a guess due to the person being a kind spirited person And when you are looking from that perspective, then the person might or might not just be a good person.

people can usually tell with me. I don't fit the stereotypical look of a Pagan, and my jewellery isn't in your face. but at work I've had people weave past other members of staff across a crowded shop to ask my advice on what would make a good solstice present, or which scents are good for which magical uses. at work. in the same black and white clothes as everyone else. so I think it must be clear in my aura or something.

I live in the Bible Belt. Everyone here believes everyone else is a member of some church.

It really depends on what we talked about. If it was intelligent conversation or regarding anything scientific, they would likely realize that I am an atheist eventually. However, if we talked more about the activities we enjoy or things/organizations we are involved with, many might assume I am a strict religious follower. I have had people assume that of me in the past while volunteering and while attending events that support my favorite charity. I've even had people ask me if I'm vegan due to religious reasons.

Personality of a person does reveal person's traits or tendencies. Merely by looking at a person and his personality we can only tell whether the person is shy or outgoing; whether he is talkative or just a listener; whether he is introvert or extrovert. However, it is difficult to guess one's religion by looking at the personality. At the most ones personality can tell whether the person is religious or not religious. Whether he believes in God or he does not believe in God. Other than this the personality does not reveal anything else.

Yes i think it is true. By the language accent speech way of talking and attitude and some other reasons one can know the religion of the person whom one is speaking to. I have done it before and although i have been wrong sometimes, 90% of my guesses were true. It's quite easy after you are a little experienced with it because then it would be much easier for you also to guess it. Cheers!
