I have used odesk, which is the same thing. It's a freelance work site too. I haved made about $1,000.00 in the past couple of months on it. I use to just try to bid the lowest but still didnt always get the jobs. So I started just going a little understand but giving a good explanation of why I would be good for the job. They're not always looking for the lowest bid but someone with the skills to get the job done right and timely. I hope this helps.

dont worry :) you just have to continue bidding and wait until someone sees you! Be polite when you bid on projects and bid only if you think you can do the job! dont ever lie to your employer because they can always give you a bad rate. Don't also lie about your abilities, these people want to trust you so just be sure when you say something. Also look out for projects with less bidders. In the beginning it is going to be hard, you will have to work for less than you deserve. However, you will have to live with it for a while. Just keep on bidding!
