I heard of an airplane falling off the sky, several people were dead, fortunately, there are still alive person left. Since so many airplane accidents happened these years, I am so scared of taking airplane. It's just like my last time for breathing.
What do you think of such accidents? Are you scared when you are on a airplane?

Definitely such accidents are tragedies. However I would think taking the airplane is much safer than taking the roads. Do you know that road accidents account for much more deaths.
When there's turbulence on the planes, I would feel a bit nervous but I guess with the reputable airlines, it should be quite safe.

You are right, many times it's because checks were not properly conducted or due to programming problems or something like that.

I would take a plane, because accidents happen from everywhere, and you don't need to be so paranoic, you never know when is going to be such a kind of accidents, like other people said, the airplane is still the most secure way to travel.

At the end of June this year, I went back home for the summer vacation in a big airplane which holds more than 200 passengers. It was the third time that I had taken an airplane back home and I have to say that I like it for its fast speed and great convenience though it's much more expensive. Danger as it may have, I still dare to travel by plane. I am not scared in a plane, to be frank.

Traveling by air is just as safe as any other mode of transportation. Accidents by air just seem to be more horrific and more publicized. When i was a child, the thought of leaving the ground to take a trip on an airplane was an exciting adventure. i steel like to travel by air, but sometimes it feels just as good to stay on the ground. We have to take caution whenever we travel no matter how we get there.

As stine1 said, traveling by commercial plane is actually quite safe. I fly quite often because I live in Canada and my fiance lives on the other coast in America, and plane crashes don't phase my from my decision to fly. It is an often cited fact that you are more likely to die in a car crash on the way to the airport than dying in a plane crash. The reason people fear flying more is that they don't have control over things, whereas they do when they drive. It's also that people realize if something does go wrong while you're in the air, you're screwed.
Everything has a risk, even crossing the street, but that is no reason to limit yourself from the convenience of air travel.

I can understand your fear ,but accidents can happen anywhere whether you go by bus or plane , planes are the fastest mode of traveling then how can anyone think to avoid this mode of travelling.
plane accidents are much less in comparision to road accidents and i think we should travel in the planes if necessary

Accidents just happen and as much as the fact that it could have been prevented, if its bound to happen, it'll happen. It's just unfortunate if you are a victim of those airplane accidents. As for ease of travel, you can get to thousands of destinations faster with riding an airplane rather than boarding ships or buses, etc. Accidents are terrifying but let's just hope we are not passengers of that flight. It's a risk to fly, but I'll take it.
Best of luck

I have been flying only a few times. Theres always that fear of crashing. Just think of how many crashes to the number of times planes have arrived safely. I wouldn't be too worried about it. I just don't like to fly so I figure might as well not risk it.
