Dreams Tell You Something

It is said that we have numerous dreams when we doze off and that the only dreams we could remember are those that occurred near our waking up period. If we only jot down some of the dreams we remember, you might see some patterns and that dreams are trying to tell us something. Have you ever had some dreams that literally happened in reality? or Have you dreamt of something which in some ways is trying to convey to you something?

yes! there have been a lot of times when i dream of something and somehow it happens in reality. but i can only tell that it was from a dream when it actually happens because these sort of dreams are dreams i forget when i wake up... unlike the weird, funny dreams my subconscious makes for me

It would be more interesting to discuss if you and the rest can share some of your dreams which happened in reality. Mind sharing one or two of your unforgettable dreams that happened in the real world? It just makes me wonder how these things happened in our subconscious level and yet were bound to happen in reality. Do these dreams make us different from the rest? You're right about forgetting most of our dreams when we wake up. It is but normal. What I can't understand is the fact that some of those dreams did really happen days after or months after I dreamt of them.

ummm... i'm not sure about them now coz i forgot them already but yeah... it's amazing how some dreams come true and it would be good to have remember them while its still hours to happen but it's not like nothing terrible was going to happen in that dream anyway...some of those dreams were more of like dreaming that this person would say this and that friend would do that just the way your dream goes... for now it's the crazy dream probably caused by reading action-packed, assassin manga before going to bed that i dreamed of being an assassin and if it not for my training i wouldn't have woken up ^_^

Well, based on my experience I dreamt in color.. just like what I have mentioned earlier - I dreamt of a blue room of which I have never been there before till I attended the party of one of my closest friends in a hotel. How did I find that it was blue if I haven't seen the colors in my dream? And why the color blue of all colors appeared in my dream? So I believe that we also dream in colors. I read that we also can control our dreams and that is by ... just like what you mentioned... always think of the event before you sleep. When something bothers you, it reflects in your dream too as this is the kind of dream where your subconscious plays a part in your dream.

In addition... dream of flying connotes frustrations but in general since flying symbolizes enjoyment especially flying freely then it tells you that something is going right in your life. Further reading of dream though tells us that dreams have different interpretations. For instance when I dream about ocean ... an angry ocean, to me it means that i have to be cautious and expect a storm in my life. Why ocean represented to me as a trial? It's because I don't know how to swim. And when my ocean dream ended with a scenario of me surviving the angry waves, it means that despite the storm, everything would be fine afterwards. This same dream of water to another friend of mine means money. She claimed that when she dreams of seas and oceans, she expects her coffer be filled up with money. Thus we vary in interpretations. This is the reason why it is advised to journal one's dream as it is telling you something. Although I have stopped jotting down my dreams years ago... because of a scary dream. (wink). Nice sharing guys! YOu're entertaining me.

I've been dream journaling since I was twelve, but I don't believe that dreams have any significant meaning or that they can tell the future. I don't see any true patterns in my dreams, and I've never had a dream that happened in reality. I'm really interested in the science of dreams and in dreams themselves, but I think there's another explanation for dreams other than subconscious thought.

How would you explain one of the dreams I had a few years back? A Senior close friend in college included me in her birthday guest lists. I was hesitant at first to attend because most of her guests were my senior in college while I was their junior but I couldn't turn her down since she only invited 20 close of her close friends and wanted her birthday to be held in a hotel. She also told me that she wanted her birthday theme to be a Victorian-like style where we had to wear white raffled blouses and any colored skirts or pants. Days after she called me again to inform about the venue but I butted in to tell her of my dream about her party. I found myself entering a classy blue room hotel and her friends welcomed me. In my dream I was a little bit shy to see her friends looked great in their white Victorian blouses much more seeing one guest wearing a very elegant blouse of which she mentioned a very costly price. Well, we laughed my dream off especially when she mentioned the name of the hotel. We knew that there was no blue room in that hotel, only a red baron room as it was called. The night of her birthday party came. Everyone had fun and I met her friends. When I went home, I checked the snapshots I took and got goosebumps upon seeing the room was filled with blue lights. The reflection made the room all blue in the pictures. And I remembered one of her guests who wore a very classy white Victorian blouse flew in from United States where she bought it. So how can you explain that a dream like this was just a subconscious thought when in fact I haven't met this lady before till I was introduced to her that night nor have I stepped on that room before and only to discover at home that the room turns blue during night time because of the reflection of the blue lights that were installed in that room? Just curious.
