lols, it is natural. Most of the chat rooms, and social networks clearly tell in their rules and terms that ONLY ENGLISH is allowed. even if it is not proper and sometimes broken english. We don't have to follow strict rules of grammar, but, if it is not english, one needs to quote and translate into understandable english. i would suggest you to keep cool, and ignore. Or, better still, start talking over the din and noise, with some of your friends, available in the same room.

Most Italian, did not understand english they consider discrimination anything when they don't understand. Yes that would be really hurtful to be accussed of discrimination just because you re tring to speak english and learn the language. its a universal language so we all should be conversant in it. Most sites on the web use English and you were not being discriminating by suggest they stick to using English. They are just being really rude to you.

You're in an "english" chatroom. Speak "english" damn it! It's bad enough they don't, now they're saying "discrimination"? Against what!? some people...what are you gonna do... Sometimes you wish you could put your hand through the computer, reach for them and give them a good hit on the noggin.

take it easy..maybe this man is just annoying you because others are speaking in italian..so understand on how they do it and how they are used to..

It's not really discrimination, they're just annoying rats. Those people come from countries where a lot of people don't speak English or at a very low level, when they are in a group with fellow countrymen they will speak their language and annoy others to the point where you'd like to throw them of the earth. I find people who don't want to speak English annoying, while even a low level is fine. And it ticks me off if people come together in a group and begin to speak a language I don't understand. Same stuff happens in real life. Now with all the Moroccan and Turkish ( I give no damn about people saying I discriminate because I address the problem in detail)people here, parents don't speak proper Dutch, so their children will have a 2 year disadvantage right from the start of their school career, they end up being criminal or getting the crappy jobs and then come complaining.
