Do You Cut Out Coupons and Actually Remember To Use Them?

I always find coupons in magazines and cut them out, but then, I forget I have them and they expire! I've been pretty good this week though, because I used about 2 coupons! I cut out 4.
I got $5.00 off a pair of jeans at Macy's, a free large Olay body wash when I bought my razor.
The other one was for 20% off a pair of shoes at Famous Footwear and $10 off JCPenney. I love JCPenney, but it's far from my house. And I didn't have enough money to buy the pair of shoes when I went to the mall.
Anyway, do you cut out all the coupons you find and use all of them? Where do you find your coupons? Have you ever printed out a coupon off the internet? How much have you saved recently?
I actually found this neat site called http://slickdeals.net/ where they not only post coupons, but freebies, contests and sweepstakes as well!

I too used to use them. Not only did I use them, but I taught my adult education students that they should use them. I even had a coupon bulleting board in the halls of our school so students could take and put up coupons. But the fire marshall made us take it down. So yes, most of the time I remembered to use them. But now, I am like another myLotter here. I can't afford to shop for anything, so I don't use coupons.

Wow, you sure do love coupons! And who doesn't?!
I wish there was a coupon filled bulletin board at my college. I'd surely grab the whole board and take it with me!

I use to be really good about cutting them out and using them. Now I need not worry as I have no money to spend.
Thanks for the information nice to have it so that if I need something or have to buy something I will check it out first.

No problem, Martixa! I'm sorry about the late reply! Been so busy doing schoolwork.
I hate when I cut out great coupons and forget I have them. And then, when I find them later on, they already expired.

hi stephanieAnnC oh I do cut them out, stick them in my purse, shop, pay for my purchases, come home thinking theres something you forgot.
Ah yes theres all the coupons I was going to save big on, and I never
used a one. So I just have quit using them at all as I seldom remember
to pull them out. but sometimes in the store I used to use they have containers holding current coupons you can pick up and use so that really wor ks just great if you need the items that is. I do not have a printer so cannot copy them off the net.

That's exactly what I do! And then I get so mad that I forgot to use them because now I don't need the item!

Ah I don't use coupons and do not cut them off from magazines, because at my place we do not have the coupon system. We only have magazine cards where we can collect points for our bought things and then for saved points we buy things at shops. Also we have cards to get of 5% 10% 20% off from clothes etc. If we could have a coupon system It would be great, but I think I too would forgive them use.

Wow. That's a really cool coupon. It just sucks that you can't actually use them. Anyway, I'm not a big fan of coupons. The only coupons that I actually cut out and use are the two frappuccinos for the price of one stuff for Starbucks or Coffee Bean. I cut them out from my friends' planners! I get their permission of course. I also have a coupon myself for a free coffee at starbucks which I got from my starbucks planner.
It's really cool that you can actually enjoy freebies from the shops that you patronize. It makes you love them and appreciate them more.

I agree. The coupons from the stores I love keep me coming back! Keeping me a loyal customer is a good thing!
I've gotten better at using the coupons I print out. I found one for a free appetizer at Chili's, a free lip gloss at Sephora (inside JCPEnney) and buy one get one free SoBe Lifewater.

I used to use newspaper coupons, but sometimes I forgot to look at the expiration date and I got to the store with an not working coupon. Now, I use online coupons, it`s easier and I found a great coupon site that has deals for many stores. It has a lot of coupons and they always work. I recommend it to you http:/promocodes2011.com/.

I usually just cut coupons for things I would buy in the grocery store. It's been such a long time since I've shopped for clothes at all. But when I did, I would usually wait until I got a coupon in the mail from one of my favorite clothing stores. To make sure I use my grocery coupons, I put them in my wallet, so I'll be reminded to use them when I get ready to pay.

I used to be really good about getting coupons and using them. I still do use the coupons but mostly for haircuts, department stores, oil change and those sort of things. i cut out and save the coupons for the grocery items but lately have been forgetting them and /or not using them but trying to change that so I can save even more on my grocery bill We are on a very strict budget for the month and I should be more diligent about this.

Grocery coupons get used. Other coupons, not so much, though I try to use them when I remember.

I don't cut out coupons. There are not so much coupons nor freebies here. I however take advantage of food coupons given by fast food stores if ever they give one. I use it a lot. I also ask my mom for one. It's really useful. I think I save a lot when such coupons exists.

I always do that as well! I have coupons which come through my door every week for my local supermarket, and I tend to forget to use them and then I just find a big huge pile of them in my purse which I forgot to use, and now won't be able to.
I currently have a free perfume coupon in my purse, which I cut out a good while ago, and they will most likely be out of stock by the time I actually get around to trying to cash it in. I think that I will attempt to do that tomorrow though!

I constantly cut out coupons and forget to use them. I am probably the Queen of doing that. I have printed off coupons from Couponsuzy.com which saved me a little bit of money. I find that if I do it right before I go to the store I remember to take it with me, (most of the time).
Or I always clip coupons that I NEVER end up using because I usually don't purchase the product but it sounded like a good idea when I was cutting out the coupon!

Sounds like a neat site, may have to check it out. I get coupons from various sources. I get ALL YOU Magazine which usually has good coupons, I recently used $1 lean cuisine from one of their magazines. I do print coupons online from a site called mypoints. When you used their coupons you get points as well as the $ off and you can trade points for giftcards. Works out well. PM me if you would like the link for that one. I also go to Ralphs and Target's sites and they have coupons for their store listed there and since I shop at those places alot getting their coupons is good. I recently $5 off of makeup using a target coupon. Petco (I have three cats) sends me coupons off catfood sometimes for $1.50 and I often use those. I clip and use a lot of coupons, it is actually odd for me to go shopping somewhere and not have some kind of coupons to use.

No, and I occasionally find some really good ones. It really pays. I carry them around in my purse until they are way past expired. It is agravating and I wish I could remember them. When my daughter was young I used to use them all the time and was really good about remembering them. Not so now. Grrrr.

I am an avid coupon clipper. i do use them quite a bit when i go grocery shopping. there are a lot of coupons that go unused though. When the time comes for me to buy what the coupon is good for, it is often expired. My late husband used to say that i clipped coupons just to watch them expire. sometimes he was right.

Hi, StephanieAnnC!
Coupons are not very popular here in China. I only got them a few times. I can remember one among these times clearly because I did lose a lot due to the expiration.
It's not my carelessness. I bought a series of books in a big bookstore and got a lot of coupons which were worth RMB200.00 five years ago. It was said I could deduct 10% of the book price. But they set a irrational expire time, it was 1 year. That meant I must spend RMB1800.00 there on books to exhaust all the coupons.
The average price per of 300 pages book here was about RMB20-40 at that time. Can anybody read 30,000 pages of books per year?

I don't cut coupons because here in my country don't use it, i use coupons when i'm buying online, i first look the specials things, then i search at web the differents coupons the store might have, and before i check out, i try the coupon, so i can see what coupon give me more discount.
