If you're in the Philippines I bet you are familiar with the noontime show called "Showtime." My God, everything is so trashy. I don't know what you think of it, but I think the show is setting a certain kind of low standard among our people. Dancing and singing are good, but please, show us something different. Some numbers, for lack of real talents to show, cover up everything with props, costumes, and what-have-you. Where's the creativity here? To be treated with such "garbage" everyday is not going to do our country any good. Please share your own observation here. Personally, I'm fed up and I feel like puking already.

Well. i sometimes accidentally watch the show ,but i am not too say the word Trashy, contestants worked hard to audition to show what they have as a dancer and a singer, sacrificing, things and we call them as Trash, well in America there are also shows that are similar to that show and i also notice discriminatory acts and much worst then showtime...All Professionals started as Amateurs, so let them know and Grow and Improved their Crafts, by appreciating ,Teaching, and giving a constructive Criticism, not downgrading..Do you have a Talent?i used to be a dancer and Choreographer on Tv.i now manage an Artisr Center here in Marikina..

..right, i agree with you..although there are people how concern is to be seen in the national television, i would say, there are also those people who participated the show for the main purpose of showing what they got, it may not be as good as what we viewers think, but the point there is that they are doing their best, that is what makes us filipinos great and I think that is the main theme of the show....

Hi Melmabb--yes, you will not believe it but I think I have talents. LOL. There are people with talent but they just don't know how to package their talents in a way that they don't come out mediocre. I happen to also train talents in our place and I know what's good talent when I see one. I am not only talking about the talents that present on this noontime show but also what the hosts feed us. I am sorry, but I think I do not find the show as a whole a good example of quality show.

Yes, i got your point, but when you see them do things that are passionate of, don't you think that they the chance to be excellent, first i think is the passion, without that no one will enjoy nor will be tired or bored, when passion is in every Craft..We know that there are talented people who have the genes, but also there are acquired talents due to Passion that can be nurtured to its finest...

Well for me, 'showtime' is a nice show, not just because I'm a certified kapamilya but I'm really entertained while watching it. Although some of the contestants shows familiar acts or same tricks. But still I can see lots of talented filipinos in that show and they are really working hard for their craft. I really enjoyed watching it and like to hear the taglines of vice ganda, his criticisms and jokes add more fun to the show. Well we still have different opinions, my points of view about the show is different from yours.

I dont watch this show everyday, not even on saturdays, but I'd say it is one of the most watched show in ABS, even surpassing Wowowee's in ABS CBN. But anyway, i did watched the show, but i got really bored with the format.. i guess they should really need to put more creativity in here... its only the show's judges that are worth watching at times - not all the time too.. ha ha but they can be funny.

I'm a Kapamilya fan but sorry to say this... I have to agree with Cutie18f. Showtime is not that appealing to me as well. They would give high scores just because old-timers or cute people are participating. They don't appreciate talent, really! Well, good luck to the network on this one. Hope they can improve to attract more viewers.

I was really entertained by Wowowee kind of format. Corny para sa akin ang format ng Showtime.

I am too. I really don't like this show. It sounds like a comedy bar or even carnival, full of props and tricks. Sometimes the judges embarrassed the contestants in front of the camera. It doesn't teach lesson to our televiewers.

You are very, very correct there. People from the network should know this. A lot of people, especially young ones are being fed with this kind of show. Why did they have to move that to 12 noon? I want to be entertained at this time and I am not a bit entertained by this show.

I am not actually a fan of this show but i think the show deserves more praise than what you're trying to imply. Let's give the individuals presenting their chance for fame.

Nothing wrong with giving individuals the chance to show their talents (if they do have one), but the format and the hosts I think should do better.

i dont watch showtime, but i heard that it is one popular show, but recently this past few weeks my mother in law had a minor stroke and my wife offered her to stay with us. she watches the show. lucky that i have my own tv at our room but of course i can still hear it when i am at the living room. they even moved the show to the same time eat bulaga is airing. there are groups who joins that has talent and some just wanted to be seen on tv. it still wont change my mind, still not going to watch it. when my mother in law was not yet with us we watch ellen and oprah during 12pm onwards.

I only watch the show because of the comedy of the hosts. they are all really funny. But I think it's the their team should have filtered those contestant first before showing it live. They should choose the best of the best not just something to fill up the slot. ^.^

I may have a weird kind of sense of humor but I do not honestly find the hosts funny. I think their style as a whole is what makes the show not fun to watch.

Those with real talent and creativity are so rare, I have yet to see one on this show. What I actually mean is that there is a lot of repetitive concepts which are so tiresome.
