What makes life worth living?

Ever since in my teen years, I have asked this question. What makes life worth living? I thought, maybe then, I could get answers when I grow up, find a job and have a family on my own...Yes, my family is the best thing that ever happened to me... But is this the real reason for my existence? Or should I expect more than this?

For me my family makes my life worth living! My husband, our 2 girls, my parents, my brother, and my awesome friends! I really don't think that I could have gotten through all of the hardships I have had in my life without them! And as far as my girls are concerned NOTHING beats being a mum, that is the best job in the whole world! I also love being a wife, and having the most commitment possible to the love of my life! We said our vows before God and I plan to keep my word until the day I die! That to me is what makes my life worth living!

have you read a little book called "the purpose driven life"? well, you can find the answer there... in a gist, have a purpose in life and strive to achieve it... that makes life worthy of living...

That's by Rick Warren, right? I have read a portion of that book but never really took it seriously.. Maybe, it's time to reread it.

what makes life worth living is life itself. Life is mysterious. We may questions things and happenings in our lives but at the end of the day, we can think of so many reasons why we are given a chance to live and to influence others. Life is good. And is definitely worth living. The important thing is how we are going to tackle the journey here. Happy mylotting.

the answer to that question depends on each of us, because it is only us who can tell what makes us happy and satisfied. there's nothing wrong with expecting more coz maybe in that way you'd be able to thrive more and find something if not more fruitful but something meaningful in life as well. for me, i guess what's worth living is the endless possibilities that i could still have even if i finished something, the end will always mean the start of a new beginning.

I have always believed we are put here for a purpose. But to ask what makes my life worth living? As a teen, you still have life to experience, some of it will be good and some will not be so good. But as you mature, go on to college, or get married, life will hand you choices, and what choices you make will depend on what happens farther on down the line. Haaving a family, that you are close to, is a big part of it. But there is a whole big world out there, and so many things to accomplish, as you go on in life, you will find other things that will make your life worth being here on earth for, that college graduation, that first child watching it being born. Maybe you will pick a profession that will help other people, maybe you will help a person along the way that you meet. See as a teen you have no idea what lies ahead for you, but you do have the chance to make it worth being here for. So as you mature, stop and think of each decision that you make as to what it will do for me to make my life worth being here in the future and the answers to your question will take care of itself for you.

For me, it's my family, my parents. I'm still single, seriously, even without me helping out with the expenses at home, my parents will be able to live. But they are my reason for living, to continue living. I think I am useless. But for them, I will live. I also realize that friends are worth living. I am happy being with them. People around me keeps me alive, they believe in me and I believe in them. Though yes, there will be times that you'll feel that everything is too negative, but look at the bright side, nothing is perfect, and you just have to live with it.

I think yes. Besides that, purpose of life and values. What can we give to other people? Why do I work? For money, position or something else? Many people live in a luxury, but they are not happy because they only focus on money and money.

between the time you first asked that question and now would have given you tons of answer... but you appreciate life more and want to make it more worth living when you've been through a "passing" experience or when the time is coming to an end... before that, living is just living... the intrinsic value of making it worthy is sometimes lost in our continuing struggle to eat, to have a home, have money in the bank... etc... etc... and later on realize that there's more reason than those in living a worthy life...

The meaning of my life is LOVE. Yes, it's right. When I didn't have sweetheart, I only know work, then go my house. I sometimes go out with my friends. I was not sad, was not excited. However, when I have had him, the life is very wonderful. I always feel happy. So, in order to life worth, we must love anyone.

I firmly believe that the most important factor in life is loving and being loved. Love means everything. It provides security, a sense of belonging, care and happiness. Love evidently includes family and friends. These are the most important aspects in making life worth living. Apart from this it is also crucial to have a good sense of esteem of oneself and be proud of what one does, be it work, study etc.

The mere fact that I wake up every day with life and within that life I can enjoy my children makes life worth living for. Many of us have similar reasons and although at times we face trials and problems what would life be without the opportunity to have loved a love one.

It is when we share to those who are in need which make one's life worth living ... be it our talent, our services or the things that are no longer of use to us. The feeling is just ecstatic.

For me what makes life worth living is my mom... She's the most kindest person I ever met in my whole life...I'd rather have her and loose everything I have right now.. I am so happy everyday I'm with her. Ans as I grew old, I will never leave her side. I will always be there for her.
