Let me guess! You got this from a bulk email, didn't you! It was (somewhat) true 7 years ago in 2003 (it was certainly NOT as bright as the full moon, however, as one version of the email claims) but the email keeps circulating every year, apparently! Here is the low-down: http://experts-xchange.co.in/2009/05/26/mars-earth-closest-approach-in-recorded-history-email-hoax/ Let's discuss WHY this email (and many others) keeps circulating! 1) Some people are dumb and sent completely nutty by the 'WOW' factor ... and don't bother to check the information they are sending out. 2) Did you ever wonder why you get so much spam email once you've had an email address for a few weeks or months? There are people whose best interest is served by sending out hoax emails that get forwarded and forwarded until they land back in the inbox of the people sending them out. By then they have gathered HUNDREDS of valid email addresses (take a look at the one you received and count all the email addresses in it). Every time someone forwards this kind of email to their friends, they usually just put all of the contacts in the To: field and, kazam! EVERYONE who sees that mail now has the email addresses of EVERYONE it was sent to right down the line! Sooner or later it will get forwarded by someone who has a 'friend' on their list who just LOVES to receive this kind of mail for a reason which, of course, they have said nothing about: They collect email addresses and SELL them to spammers! Oh yes, there is a very big market in email addresses which are proven to be valid!

I have heard that at that time the Mars will be so close to the earth and therefore we can see two "Moons" in the sky because one of them is the Mars. If you miss it, then you have to wait for quite a long time to see the same next time. However, I don't have plans to do something special. It will be a normal day for me. I won't stay up to see it. And actually I am not sure whether I can see it in the city because of the pollution. Sometimes we even hardly see the stars in the sky at night. I love China

It's been close before. and it was very cloudy. lol! ^.^ Well, I just wish we could see it this time. astronomical scenes are very magically breath-taking. It reminds me of being part of the huge undiscovered space out there. happy star gazing!
