I don't know what's the hell going on in the mind of the selection committee always ignore robin uttapa instead of that they go with rubbish player like kohli, karthik and many more name is there. At least give him one chance so that he can prove himself how much he is handy for the team. Selector had the chance to gave the opportunity to this tri-series that is going on as they have giving chance to many younger player..I think there is need of sweeping of all the member of the selector of BCCI so that indian cricket team will do fabulous in future..This what i think and want to know what you think..?

ya robin uthappa is avoided as the same way the selectors does to irfan pathan. irfan pathan and robin uthappa are avoided by the selectors again and again despite of good performance. i think the captain is also not interested in these guys.

i think uthappa should be replaced instead of rohit sharma. bcos kohli and karthil will left with return of sachin and ghambir. sharma should face the axe.....

I think Robin Uthappa had simply some bad luck. He got an extended run in the Indian team when he was in poor form. That meant that he consistently failed when he played for India. On the other hand when he is now in the form of his life, he is not being considered by the selectors. I was disappointed when he was not selected for the Indian T20 team for the world cup. I think it is high time he gets a chance to play again for India. Cheers! Ram

Yeah it is strange that Robin Uttappa is so much ignored, why I did not understand at all and World Cup 2011 is not much far as well. Uttappa could have selected in place of Kohli. I do not think Kohli is ready for international cricket. He is somewhat of category of that of Retinder Sodi or Md Kafi, he is selected just because he is captain of U19 team and won a World Cup under his captaincy. I feel Uttappa is having some cold war with selectors. There is no reason for ignoring him from ODI team or T20 team. This shows that regional influence or some sort of politics is going on.

Hi, The current selection committee is not fit enough to select players for a particular series. They are not giving any chances to the new players.Just rotating with the same youngsters who have been constantly failing. The youngsters of the current INDIAN team are not in form so far. This one of the reason for the downfall of the INDIAN batting line up.ROBIN UTHAPPA is a fine player. He has played before for the INDIAN team.He has particularly opened the batting with SHEWAG in some matches. He plays according to his ability. He is a strong guy who can hit sixes out of the ground. He is excellent down the order. So I think he should be given a chance.Like you said the current youngsters should be removed and the vacant must be filled by some new players who have extra ability to play cricket.

I am fully agree with you. i too dont know whats going on in BCCI selecting board. they are giving lots of chance to the players who are continue performing bad like dinesh kartik, jadeja. robin uttapa is very great player. he must have chance to prove. though he already proved.

when he started playing, i thought he was a class act, he played some matches so well, i think that he made 74 runs of 43 balls, which was against south africa, forgive me if i am wrong. i was that innings and i became his fan, he plays like sehwag, i mean freely no fear at all. i think selectors are not considering him because of his poor performance in indian premier league. i think if he had played well there was no doubt he would have been selected. and selectors should also be changed because they don't the caliber of the player what he can do and what he is capable of.
