What do you think of the recent tragedy happened in Manila of Phillippine ?

Few days ago, Hong Kong people was shocked and hurted by a tragedy and disaster in Manila.A tour group of 15 people from Hong Kong was kidnapped by a former phillipino police in Manlia. The gun man holded a n M-16 and two short gun and kidnapped the tour group on a tour bus for 11 hours.The Philippine government was accused for reacting extremely inappropriated in this issue.The gunman ended up killed 8 people and injured the other 7 people seriously before the gunman was shoted to death by the police.It made the whole Hong Kong people cried for this news,especially when they watched the police using very stupid method and poor arrangement in saving the hostages.It got even worse after the tragedy when the President of Philipine shown up later on with smile on his face and said : "Our police equippment wasn't good enough and there are rooms to improve."It very made all Hong Kong people angry.Although he did apologize for his smile later on,it was just a bit too late.Well,The injury people are still in the hospital at this moment and I hope that they can all be healed as soon as possible.No matter what happen,few family members have lost their love one and a girl became orphan after this tragedy.What do you think? I think that the police force in Manila should have been better prepared to handle a situation like this. However, they may not have been able to deal with it as well as they've been trained because of the fact that the hostage taker was one of their own. When it really comes down to it, the hostage taker could have easily been sniped because of the fact that he was in a bus and there should have been plenty of angles they could have gotten him from which would have saved some of the lost lives.

I'm a Filipino and I really am sorry for the Hongkong tourists that were killed. I know it's heavy punch for us Filipinos what Capt. Mendoza did. I'm really worried about the overseas filipino workers working in HK. Not all pinoys are like mendoza so they should not judge Filipinos just like capt. mendoza. Just like what jackie chan said on his twitter account, it can happen anywhere. for me, Discrimination kicks in here because most workers in HK works as Domestic helpers and "some" do really discriminate us filipinos.
