Yes, I'm still using Pentium 3 machines! Well, they are faster than P4's. Good enough for the net, and I don't play games so I really don't need anything newer. I've got three so I'm not worried about breakdowns. Speed isn't everything. Let's face it - how fast can you type?

Hi, K46620. My husband bought this laptop in 2009. So it has been a year and seven months that we have had this laptop. I do have a Dell 4600 Dimension flat screen 15" monitor. I have bought it in 2004 and I still have it till this very day. I need to get a modem for it so that I can use it.

Well, I have my laptop for about 2 years already. I do have an old one which I let my son use and that one is about 4 years already. Its still working perfectly fine. This laptop that I have been using now is still in good shape. I always clean temporary files, fixed registry errors as well as defragment from time to time. I also do a complete virus scan from time to time. It functions as good as it is from the time I bought it 2 years ago. Perhaps the appearance is the only thing that is change considering that it does not look brand new anymore.

I have a laptop and I've had it for almost 2 years now. It's been given to me by my college. I'm currently pursuing my masters in computer applications. So it is absolutely necessary that every student has a laptop for the course.

My computer is a bit more than 3 years old. I got this system in July 2007 and it was the latest pc at that time.
Since then, i continuously upgrade hardware in it to get most out of it.
It can easily run any game(even the latest titles), any program thrown to it without any hassle.
As i do a lot of gaming on this system, i had to make sure that it performs good and didn't slows down.
But i'm planning to buy a new one soon and this one would be really an overkill for the games

I am using a black Macbook, and it is about 5-6 years old, and it still works "perfectly". The only problems are that it doesn't recognze batteries no more, so I have to have it plugged in all the time, and also that it is getting a little bit too old for everyday use...
I am still quite happy about it, but I am closely going to "uograde" it by buying a new computer: MacBook Pro 15".
Macs usually have a quite unusual long life, and that's what I just love about them, along with all of their other features.
Now to your question... I got it about 5-6 years ago, and yes I have a computer that is more than 5 years old

I have had this desktop for three years now, and it is working perfectly. It gets virus infection once in a while and I have to get those cleaned out. Besides that, every thing is fine. I bought a laptop two years ago. I needed that on on travels to keep in touch with my office back home, and with friends and family members. That's working very well too.

I have only had this one for 8 months, but already I am thinking about buying a new one. It is because I am online literally all of the time, so everything tends to get old very quickly. I know that I should probably limit my time online a little bit, but I don't like to do that as I really enjoy chatting to my friends.
I usually get a new laptop every 2 years, but I am going to try and make this one last a lot longer, as I am now paying a mortgage on a flat so can't really afford to make such big purchases.

A couple of years ago I was still using a five year old machine. The only thing it was good for was surfing the internet though; the specs were too poor to do anything else with it.
Right now I am on a 3 year old machine. There is another one here that is a year old, but it is mainly used for gaming. If it wasn't in the basement I would probably be using it for internet things, instead of this one.

I'm right at five years for my desktop computer and it still runs as good as it did when I bought it brand new in 2005. I work my computer to the bone with graphic and web design, my poetic creations I sell, and all my writing endeavors. I keep it maintained, Norton protected, and regularly clean out my files and folders.

The computer I have at home is around 4 years old. I use it very rarely and since it was a gift from somebody...I don't even want to replace it. In college I have my own laptop which will be two years old this October. I'm planning to replace this one very soon.

I am using my computer for last 10 months. It is still in warranty and its performance is good. Before this computer, I was using my older computer, it was IBM Thinkpad, I liked it very much, I was using that computer from 2002, It was very good computer. However, in a last few years its speed was slowed down considerably but it used to work. I was using Windows 2000 on my older computer and now I have three operating systems on my new computer. I have Windows XP, Windows 7 and Ubuntu on my computer. My computer is one of the most important thing in my life, I can not imagine my life without it.

I have had my computer for 2 years now. It still works good. Was a cheaper gaming computer from cyber power pc. I like it a lot. Still works fast and can play the new games still. Just not the high specs of them but I can play it on normal specs.
