Is anyone taking effexor?

I can tell you here and now that I've taken at least five other medications for depression. Effexor XR is the only one that has helped virtually eliminate all symptoms of my clinical depression.. One side effect is dry throat. But i just pop a lozenge or drink some water and I'm good to go.

I actually just started taking effexor this last month. It wasn't quite kicked in yet but I feel like it's helping me with my sleep. I used to sleep up to 10 hours every night because of my depression. Now I'm getting down to 8 or 9 hours and not feeling overly tired. It may take a while for it to fully work but this is completely different from any other medication I've tried, so I'm hoping it will work with my situation better than those.
