You can easilly outsmart your parents without them knowing.

It's common psychology and it works for me and my friends almost all the time. First, if you want something from them, don't just bluntly ask... You need to ask for something bigger than you want, have them reject it and then ask for the real thing. For Example, you want a new bike, so first you ask your parents if they can get you a car. After they reject that you act sad, than ask if they would be willing to get you a bike instead. It works for me and my friends. Tell me how it goes for you.

If your parents expect hundred percent of you in your studies and super performance all round , I am sure they will be happy if you give them only 90 percent.
