Would you feel better walking the street if this was legal? I know it is not legal because I asked a cop in the police station the other day. I have fears walking in my neighborhood at night. The crime rate here in Mount Vernon Ny is the worst. Someone is always getting shot. innocent people are getting hit by stray bullets. Not to mention people getting robbed for their coats and cellphone, music players and more......Have a great day!

That is just awful! Really intense.
Thing is though. If it was made legal, although it is meant to help fight off those kind of disturbed people who like to mess with innocent people, it could get to the point where anyone could get hold of it and use it against ( and again ) innocent people.
So I am not so sure it is a good idea. It is meant to fight off the baddies but even they can use this.

Yeah, should. There's a lot of risks that can happen, and with pepper spray you would be more protected for things like robbery and stuff like this.

It's actually legal thought some states have different laws and even the area you are living in. It's best to talk to a police officer for more information. But they are legal.
This site shows each states laws of pepper spray, but like I said it's best to check with a police officer.

What? That should have been made legal. I'm disappointed as well. It's unsafe for you anyone to have to way to defend oneself. I'm not sure if California has it legalized, but if it wasn't I think everyone would still carry it around. It doesn't make sense that we have the right to bear arms, but not pepper spray. That makes no sense.

Wow i thought it was legal. Well i say it should be legal i mean people can rob you and calling the police would be too late so just spray em in the eyes and get your stuff back and run THEN call the police. But thats probaly not allowed. And i would feel a little better walking with pepper spray if it was legal. Because i'd have more protection wouldn't i?

Eh? It's not legal? I thought it was since it's a great self-defense most especially for women. I was thinking about buying one for my girlfriend since she comes home from work late. Now you mentioned that it's not legal. I think that's crazy. It should be made legal since it could greatly help for the users to escape danger using it. Of course it could also become a weapon, but I think those who'll do something bad about it wouldn't buy it since they have to spend a deal of money.
I really wish they should legalized possession of pepper spray. And yeah, it would make my girlfriend and I feel safer walking down the street even at night if she has a pepper spray which I'm sure she will use to protect herself.
