I am currently in the process of starting a business with my sister. I would say that there is a lot of things that need to happen before you jump into it. The first thing you need to do is find something that you are passionate about. In my opinion, you should not start a business with the "make money" mindset. It has to be something you would do even if it took a while to profit from it. Our chosen business is in the craft field. I love crafting and so does she. I can not say successful, because we have yet to launch our products. Another thing, Research, Research, Research. Everything needs to be researched, from what licenses you would need to how the product or service would fair in the market. I wish you all the luck in the world, it's a very time consuming process.

hi,i totally agree with u. President Bush says the key to a strong economy is the creation of more small business. But its really hard to start own business and been successful, requiring taking risks and good experience of dealing with a lot of things. As the question why so many posts about making money online, I think it’s because the catergory here is called making extra money. And extra means it’s the income from parttime job or online. Hope more people to discuss about how to start own business and share with us.

i used to run my own business before. and all i can say is that its not easy most especially if we dont have enough funds good for one year. just in case the business cannot stand for a year. at least you have back up funds for the monthly expenses. thats how to run a business. and give your full time as well.

Yes I agree with you let us this site to be our media for business. It will help us to have at least a little and help us to grow more on financial needs. I think that starting a business is good for you and your city. It helps to make the economy to grow and depending on your works or of your employees it can grow a lot and go far in it.

Hi Amybrezik, have you tried to inquire about franchising business? There are some existing business that offer to sell their name and product for franchise. You just have to study what products you are going to sell, and the place where to put up your business. And they have also program that will guide and help to start your business.
