Well, according to Catechism of Catholic Doctrine Manual, the four sins that cry to heaven for vengeance are: willful murder, sodomy, oppression of the poor, and defrauding laborers of their just wages. And it is stated there that these sins are particularly evil, and God will punish those who commit them, not only in the next life, but often, here on earth too. I wonder what will be the opinion of my co-mylotters in this particular matter.

........SHIRK ( IDOLATRY & POLYTHEISM)IS THE BIGGEST AND ONLY UNFORGIVABLE SIN.......
Sorry I will not agree with you as these sins can never compare in gravity of the biggest and only unforgivable sin i.e Polytheism or Idolatry.....as per the last divine book, the Holy Quran. It was the main cause of destruction of the old nations.God Almighty says in the Holy Quran:
"(O PROPHET)SAY TO THEM,"GO ABOUT IN THE LAND AND SEE WHAT HAS BEEN THE END OF THOSE WHO LIVED BEFORE(YOU).MOST OF THEM WERE "MUSHRIKS"(IDOLATERS)."
(Surah Al-Room..............Verse 42......................The Holy Quran..........)
I do not know why you people do not consider it the biggest sin, probably due to the reason that you have been misguided to indulge in it in the disguise of Trinity.

I feel that any act that identifies human with an animal is as bad as sin. For that matter humans are still sharing many characteristics with animals; such as we have hair on the body, we have teeth and nails, etc.
Animal nature is dormant in us. It comes to the fore only if something stirs humans emotionally. Therefore, committing any act under the impact of sudden emotion is sin. In other words, if humans act instinctively, then too they commit a sin.
Human have in them certain divine qualities, which animals do not have. Humans are kind, sympathetic, loving, caring, patient and tolerant. If a man is unkind, unsympathetic, hateful, uncaring, impatient and intolerant; then he is worse than an animal.
Concerning sodomy animals do not indulge in it. Yet, it is a sin because it is something done against nature. If animals kill and sustain themselves by eating others they commit no sin, but if a human does it, then it definitely is a sin. There is no greater sin than hurting others; disturbing the peace of mind of others and bring misfortune to others.
