Well yeah something in my past that I have actually forgotten about until of coarse this day today that I remembered it because of my mom. Anyway when I was a little girl I would always play with this teenager since our families knew each other and all, well I used to play sailor moon with him and he was a really nice guy. Until one day he died in a car crash accident and I just remembered this. I think that my brain felt it was to much for me to handle and locked that away it's till fuzzy and I can't really remember a lot of it, but yeah it's like my mom had the key to open that door where that past memory was locked away.
Now I have actually been trying to think about it more and I am starting to remember more it;s kind of weird how the brain works like that how one could all of a sudden remember something and start bringing the pieces together. Now though I am really sad because he died and he was like one of my best friends and I feel horrible for forgetting about him and all I think that I was only ten or twelve at the time though. His face is still fuzzy I don't think that my brain will be able to remember that, but yeah has anybody else experienced a forgotten past and then all of a sudden remembered it????

Ow that must have hurt when you got hit really sorry you had to experience something that was so painful. Maybe you black out that's maybe why you don't remember it all to good. When you were nine that is such a young age.I guess it's true when our parents tell us not to run or to always look both ways.

Some incidents make me recollect friends and events from the past.My mom like yours often reminds of events from the past which bring back a well of emotions.Like you there was a classmate who was very boisterous,at one of our old friends meeting i esquired about him only to be informed that he had passed away in an accident. This set of both pleasant memories of him as well as sadness that he is no longer in our midst.

I know sometimes the memories that are brought back are not very pleasant ones at all, it's always good to remember good memories, but it's never the same for remembering about the sad memories because they just make one really sad and then we all begin to recollect all those sad memories that we have gone through.

Sometimes i will make myself half crazy trying to remember a certain thing from the past. When i can't think of it right away, i get discouraged and a little frustrated with myself. Then I will wake up in the middle of the night suddenly remembering what I tried to remember all day. Sometimes I will get out of bed and write it down. i don't want going back to sleep to erase what i have remembered.

Yes dear I have experienced something like this. There were incidents in my past tucked away in the compartment of my brain and it would not come out till something similar to the incident or certain circumstances that triggers it.It's weird right but amazing!

Okay time to finally admit, I am a really intelligent person when it comes to business, finance-when I had money, great speller, and life in general.
Something about movie and TV titles, Whoa some laugh and make for a great time with it. I cannot remember move and TV titles.
Example there was this very famous show called, mind you I had to call my sister because I could not remember the exact name, hehehe to be able to input my response. I would always say New York under fire..not laughing. Although you should have heard my sister you would have thought it was first time she heard me say it. It is New York Under Cover. HA!
I can enjoy a great film and give you specific - never ever ask me for the title, as you will laugh 100 times over trying to get me to remember it's title.

I did that with my wallet, I left it at home and I was going to take it and didn't remember I left it at home until I was far away from home in the car.

Oh my goodness, this happens to me literally all the time! The more I think about my childhood, the more I realise I've forgotton!
Every time I remember something new, it's like it opens another door to a whole lot of memories which I had forgotton. I do like it when the memories are good, as it means that I can talk to my old friends and see if they remember the same things that I do.
When I remember things which aren't so good, it upsets me a little bit, but I just have to think about all of the good times from my past, and that usually cheers me up more than enough.

I am a forgetful person so usually i just remember the face not the name. Sometimes i am hesitate to approach a friend unless they remember me first since I just greet them and talk awhile but really hate myself for being so silly not to remember their names. It so happen they know me and when the conversation it is then I ask again what your name anyway...which really get me embarrass. Anyway the events which always remember are occasion where i feel happy and sad. Those are the events, I remember the people involves but not their names unless they are very close to me. That is the things which is lacking to me and when the years gone by I just so lucky to bump some friends and they remember me first which exactly the opposite of me.
