One of my best friends got married this year and I told him I would bring back some typical Canadian products next time I fly back to Switzerland. My problem is I can only think of maple syrup...
I appriciate every help to make a nice gift. And please don't answer bring back an ice rink, pick-up car or other heavy things. It would be nice to have a small assortment of food, drinks and other products which fit in a plane.
Thank you in advance for some helpfull tips

Welcome to mylot, becks!
One of my canadian friends once sent me some beautiful moccasins. They were beautiful and useful. Check for native crafts that you might put to use at home. Of course, if you really want to get rich, you can take back home a plane from the Canadian airlines. They have the most expensive tickets I have seen. It´s a good buy.
Happy posting!

I don't have a whole lot of advice for you on an exact gift to get. When I think of Canada I think of hockey and you said your friend doesn't like sports. My advice would be to go to a local mom and pop shop, and ask their advice. Who better to ask about what would be good to bring home from Canada than a Canadian. I did look online a bit and it seems that dreamcatcher and Canadian tea seem big. I don't know how acurate that is but maybe you could find some Canadian Tea or a typical Canadian snack. Good Luck! I hope you find something perfect.

If your friend is into sports maybe you could buy a momento of a Canadian team wether it be football, hockey anything along that line....They also have the flag in pins or key chains that kind of thing...
