Do you think there will be surprises or every favorite team will go through the next stages? If you don't know the groups, here are for you: Group A: Inter, Werder, Tottenham, Twente; Group B:Lyon, Benfica, Schalke, Hapoel Tel Aviv; Group C:ManU, Valencia, Rangers, Bursaspor; Group D:Barcelona, Panathinaikos, Kobenhavn, Rubin Kazan; Group E: Bayern München, AS Roma, Basel, CFR Cluj; Group F:Chelsea, Marseille, Spartak Moscow, Zilina; Group G: AC Milan, Real Madrid, Ajax, Auxerre; Group H:Arsenal, Shakhtar Donetsk, Sporting Braga, Parizan Belgrad.
So what do you think? How this is going to be?

I think it looks good. Going to be a great championship. As ever.
And I really wish good luck for Internazionale, that is my favorite team in this championship.

groups A and G are the toughest i think. Spurs 1st entry into the CL and they get a tough group with good teams, and yes FC Twente are good, good enough to win their league anyways
Real Madrid v AC i'm looking forward to aswell especially if the match is meaningful, ie; one of them may not qualify for next round
i don't think Inter will be as much a force as last year even though they got more or less same team and i see they got all the player awards aswell, Benitez can be unpredictable at times, ask any Liverpool fan

I think, because of the economical crisis we are having, most topteams are in trouble, so there will be lots of "surprises". This can only be good for the future of European football, because surprises and differents clubs that do well make this Champions League interesting. Watching Chelsea-Barcelona, Real Madrid-AC Milan,... every year makes things boring and less interesting for the football-fan.
My prediction for the top two of every group:
A: Twente and Tottenham (Yes, i'm not kidding, Twente is a good team, and Inter are a different team without "The special one")
B: Lyon and Benfica
C: Manchester United and Valencia
D: Barcelona and Rubin Kazan
E: Bayern München and FC Basel
F: Chelsea and Spartak Moscow
G: Real Madrid and Ajax Amsterdam
H: Arsenal and Shakhtar Donetsk
A few surprises and a few names we see every year, allthough i hope for even more surprises, you never know!

Interesting choice for group A, but I believe that Werder is a better team than Twente and they will qualify. I agree with Tottenham progressing, because Inter player are fed up with glory, and we know Italian teams how they are. They disappear for a period of time, then they will have a great season and win a major competition and then disappear again. In group B I think Schalke will follow Lyon, because they are a solid team, with a great defense and we know that Benfica is not the Benfica from the previous season anymore. In group C I see Bursaspor making a surprise, Valencia has sold every good player it had, Rangers is a weak team, so I think ManU and Bursa will qualify from here. I agree with the other groups, however I would like to see Real out, because I don't like that team, and now that Mourinho is there, this feeling is more intense.

Barcelona indeed will be the winner in Group B. They practically get the easiest group. While Real Madrid can't be predicted since they have to face AC Milan.I'm sure Chelsea and Inter will come out as a group winner, but for ManU,they are questionable.Group H??No clue.

I think Group G is going to be interesting with the likes of AC Milan, Real Madrid and Ajax in the mix. Similarly Group B looks more equal of the groups with Lyon the favorites, but any of the remaining three having a great chance of qualifying as well. The rest of the groups seem quite easy for the favorites.
Cheers!

i think Real Madrid with it new manager (Mourinho) will be tested here.
Madrid has to Face the ex-winner Milan and Ajax during qualification group.
we will see how the new manager with his dream team gain a title here?
last season they signed C. Ronaldo, Kaka, Benzema, Lass Diarra, and lot more but they lost every trophy.

This is my guess.
Group A - Inter, Werder
Group B - Lyon, Schalke
Group C - Man Utd, Valencia
Group D - Barcelona, Panathinaikos
Group E - Bayern Munich, AS Roma
Group F - Chelsea, Spartak Moscow
Group G - Real Madrid, Inter Milan
Group H - Arsenal, Shakhtar Donetsk
However, I am hoping Rangers, Marseille and Ajax could make it through to the next round.

I think the groups are pretty uneven to be honest. But I guess that always happens.
I think
Inter and Werder will go through from Group A, Lyon and Hapoel Tel Aviv from B, Valencia and Man U from C, Barclona and Pananthinaikos from D, Bayern and Roma from E, Chelsea and Moscow from F, Milan and Real from G and finally Arsenal and Shaktar from H.
But I could be wrong about some of these of course!

I always like it when underdogs advance in the group stage. It's a jackpot for every team to play in the champions league but all this money can give a nice opportunity for every smaller team.
I know, the top teams need the money too to surveive with their big budgets but it's their own fault because they pay astronomous prices for some players.
And it's more fun to watch the games when underdogs win and celebrate their victories.
