I am also the victim of same situation. I have applied 3 times student visa for Ireland with IELTS 7 bands and most reputable irish university but they refused me and they even did not mention any reason for it the I applied 3 different countries visit visas but they all refused me just because of my country. I am still trying to get abroad but it looks difficult now. My good wishes for you my friend.

Hi diamania,
Wouldn´t you say that the media is manipulated? Why is it that some countries meddle with the life and politics of others, invade them and become heroes and others are bad people when they try to solve their problems in their country?

Some countries are hard to visit even if you are from the western world because it is hard or almost impossible to get a visa. No matter where you are from there are some countries that are hard to visit, but it is true that it is often easier for Europeans, Americans etc to be get a visa. Some countries let certain nationalities visit without a visa and require visas from other nationalities and some country don't let anyone at all visit without a visa.
Try to make a list of the countries that you would like to visit and find the visa requirements from each country, some countries might be easier for you to visit than others. Don't let the thought of the visa difficulties stop you. Your visa application might might get rejected, but if it happens, try again or try another country. I hope that you will be able to fulfill your dream about travelling.

Unfortunately, some people in your country have ruined travel for you. We simply can't let people come to our country, who cause us problems. Unfortunately, those people came from over in the middle east area, and they dress and speak a specific way.
Hopefully things will improve, and you will be able to travel as you wish.

well dont consider it as discrimination.. we should be proud our own land however there are some certainties and rules we have to comply by obtaining visas ut i depends on which country you would like to travel. say for example you like to go in a western country but in a condition that you have to remove your beard well i think its matter of sacrifice to remove it.. if you really desired to travel,, I have alot of pakistani friends i never heard they spoke to me like that...but dont stop the travel the world and see the beauty...

Back in the Late 70's and early 80's many young white males were detained and searched because that was the profile of a hijacker. Right now the people who are causing the trouble are mostly from the Middle East and there fore all people from the Middle East are suspect. It is not fair but that is they way things are.

You should be able to travel to every country that you wish to. It is not right that visas are necessary. I think a passport should be enough. I have a British passport. I have had to have some visas to go to Finland to work, to Australia for a working holiday and to Jordan for a visit. You have a large beard and that is common for men that come from Pakistan. It is fine the way that you look. I have wished to visit Russia but haven't been able to afford the visa. Accommodation costs are also high there. Good luck with being able to travel to a few different countries in the future.

Hi Tushavi, I think that you have every right to travel the world. Unfortunately, some extremists have made it difficult for people from your part of the world, not just from Pakistan, to be made welcome by many westerners. I am not raciest, and I believe everyone is entitled to their own religious beliefs and I feel badly that many good people have to suffer for the actions of a few. Hopefully you will get your wish to travel the world. Blessings.

You would be welcome here in America. We try so hard not to discriminate that we have let criminals go through security while detaining grandmothers and toddlers. This is extreme and does not help anyone. Aside from that, we try to welcome everyone but be aware that we have many crazies that do not see people as brothers and sisters and tend to judge a whole people by the actions of a few. I just want to be safe and I assume anyone that gets past security is here to enjoy the country.
Lots of men have beards. Our Amish men grow beards, so do some sects of Jewish men. I understand you would not want to shave your beard and you should not have to. But if you want to travel you may have to change your appearance. It's a cold hard fact that a relatively few insane, hate-filled people have ruined it for everyone else.

I think it is not hard as long as you can provide the embassy all the necessary documents that they asked.
I know it is somehow hard for you to travel the world since some parts of this world or other countries doesn't allow or give visa's for people from your country.
Then you can visit those country that will allow of issue you visit visa.

I believe it doesn't matter which country you came from. Can one person be blamed for the actions of another person? I don't believe so. The problem is, that when a group of similar people, race and religion attack another group, there isn't much trust there. However, we cannot blame everyone.
Actions should be determined to the person who caused them, not to the person who hasn't. So therefore, if you want to travel the world, see what's out there, then by all means, go for it. No one should stop you. After all, many of us have been in your shoes, wanting to travel. I'd like to see Europe myself.
I wonder if you'd might be able to get a sponsor??? Why not check into it and see what happens?

No, I think everyone has the right to go anywhere they want, as long as you money. I think, it is all about your country men who did those terrorism. But I am not saying you are one of them. Just try to get some visa and I think the embassy will grant you one. I also feel the same discrimination whenever some other countries talking about filipino Hostage Happened in Manila.

Hi Tushavi,
I am from India and my country is the biggest victim of cross border terrorism.
You are saying it's countries don't give visa to Pakistanis easily .
I want to pose some questions .
1) Why is almost every major terrorist attack is linked to pakistan directly or indirectly?
2) Why is Pakistan have become biggest hub of Islamic militancy?
3) Why so many extremist groups are active in Pakistan?
4) Why can't Pakistan have a civilian government which is not the puppet of Army and ISI ?
Having said this I am noways indicating that all Pakistanis are terrorist (I am active on social n/w sites since 2005 and I have many online friends across the border) but still there are some issues with pakistan that rest of world sees people from there with suspicion....

Beards? They are everywhere. I don't think that the reason that countries are so careful about giving visas is because of terrorism. Quite frankly, most of the terrorists who would wish to do harm do come from that area of the world and that is why countries are careful about issuing visas. Does that mean that you shouldn't be able to travel the world? Absolutely not. Don't give up your dream and assuming that you can pass background checks, I see no reason why you wouldn't be granted a visa. Most of the problems that we as people have with each other is that there is a lot of misinformation out there and secondarily because we believe it. Best of luck to you.

Hi Tushavi,
You are very welcome to my country: Chile. There are people that are terrorists of terrorism and have used the word to intimidate people and manipulate it for their purposes.
I´m sure that there are many countries that would welcome you and yours. Just check and ban in your heart those countries that will not accept you. Noone likes to go to places where one does not feel welcomed.
Happy posting!
