I have to mention my father. He has keep on playing table tennis for almost 8 years. He learned that half-way.Now he is nearly 60 and still do what he loved. I'm not just admire his perseverence, but his positive attitude towards life. I know a lot of person on MYLOT may keep on his or her hobbies for many many years. Then share with us your own hobbies that you keep on for many years.

Hi,
I guess collection phonecards is my longest hobby. I started
to collect phonecard when I was in Singapore for my study, that was
more than 15 years ago...I used to buy lot of phonecards to call back
to my parents, same time I collected them all in my phone album.
I have few albums now with me and till now I am still collecting them
if I have any new phonecards.
Another new hobby that I started about 5 years ago is collecting Redpacket
(angpow - use it during Chinese New Year). I got this inspiration from my
relatives. I saw them collecting lot of redpackets and sorted them nicely in
photo album...suddenly I feel like doing so..I started to collect some and my friends
are helping me to collect those red packets. Now, I have about 8 album of
redpackets and once a while, I will have a look on them..so nice!!
I believe I will keep those two hobbies for the rest of my life and I might pass
it to my son in future.

I do not have a permanent hobby, my hobby is often fickle. Already a lot of hobbies that I do, like collecting stamps, sewing, and only around 2 years of my hobbies is logged Mylot. I strongly hobby login on Mylot, I never felt bored, and this was the longest of my hobbies.

Hiya miwei,
I have seen Table Tennis on Eurosport before lot´s of times. This is a big thing all over the World it seems.
I quite liked watching it as you never knew who was going to get tired first and they just kept going and going.
So it´s much harder than it looks and tiring too.
I have´nt really got a Hobby of that kind I´m into many things but I don´t have too much time or solitude to be able to practice on my own in peace and quiet.

Collecting anime takes me a lot of time because I have to earn my money for it so that takes me awhile, but I like it when I finally buy what I wanted.
