... but I find it very hard to start any of my own! I have been trying to come up with more since it's starting good discussions that helps you earn more on MyLot, but it's very hard for me to come up with ideas. What tricks or suggestions could I try to help me think of things that people want to talk about? :)

Starting a discussion can be quite challenging for some members. I can talk a storm but find that I am far too busy responding most of the time. I can probably count in short of both my hands how many I have started. Some people can naturally do so 5 - 10 discussions in one sitting and God Bless. Your activities are not measured by how many you do start versus how many respond to. Some members do not initiate for a wile then start back up. Everyone started discussions vary and perhaps have their own reasons as to why do start them the way they do. So anytime you feel you would like to start a discussion I suppose asking yourself first is this something I would respond to this may help. Good Luck!

I don't bother myself starting a discussion if there's nothing I wanted to discuss or share here. It is indeed easier to just respond to a discussion because we don't really have to think too much about it but we just follow what we thought is applicable or feel for the certain situation. We can simply choose from the many ones posted here either we empathize, we relate or find it interesting. But, hey, re earning, it doesn't matter if we are posting or responding/commenting, either ways, we are earning. So, keep on.:)

Just be yourself, and don't think that just because you don't start discussions means you don't have great earning potential. You don't necessarily have to start discussions, it's quality that counts here. You can start a lot of discussions but never get the time to comment back like I do, or you can start a few, comment back and keep commenting back, and then drop by on your friend's discussions and respond to them. It all adds up to be the same, just have fun here and don't worry so much about the money earned and you'll find the money earned grows very nicely!

Some people start 10 one-very short-paragraph discussions in a day with the same topic like "God" with slightly changed titled and writing in each. What for? I would not bother to respond to this kind of discussions. Some people read other people discussion posted here and had different ideas of their own. Instead of responding in the discussion (as they are supposed to do while in the same topic) they preferred to start their own discussions hence there are many similar discussions posted. If you do not have any idea now to start your own, don't worry. At least you like to respond, that will earn you money too. I only posted several so far, with no good response as my ideas are different to most people, I guess.

I think you're doing great with the responding. The most important thing is that you really discuss here, and that's what helps you earn more. I don't know any trick to find out ideas for new discussions. Me also I'm a poor discussions starter. But I can't complain. The few responses I got for the discussion I started are usually good quality and my friends help me further the discussions - and that's what I like the most. My advice is just be yourself, don't force anything. Discuss what you feel it's interesting. If an ideea comes up - write it down. If not, there are plenty of discussion to respond to.

It's not just starting good discussions that helps you earn more. The more you say the more you earn. You won't earn from your discussions unless you comment back to all the people who responded. You'd be earning as much as if you responded to a bunch of discussions. I don't start many either, and when I do I earn around the same. It's more about how many posts you make, and how good the quality of them is.

I don't start many discussions of my own either as you can see in my profile where it says: discussions started: 450 discussions answered: 11143 but I reach payout just the same each month. I don't start many because I don't always have the time available to comment back to everyone who responds but I do engage in discussions inside individual response boxes iuf the user who started the topic, or others who drop by, leave as comment. That earns just the same if it is interesting, quality and furthers the topic. Often in the whole month I don't start any at all and this is yet again one of those months. There is no rule that says anywhere that we have to start our own topics so carry with what suits you best and don't force a situation if it does not come naturally to you

Before I used to post many discussions like 4 to 5 times a day. But the problem is you must not leave a discussion that you started. so perhaps you should post a discussion that you can manage to answer back for the act of politeness and to add more to your interactions and earnings. And start a discussion as if you are talking to friends that you wanna know their opinion of something like this or that. And more you have to know what you are trying to discuss.

Never quieting is a good sign of a good character. You have open up a discussion now. Perhaps, these will be your stepping to further knows others peoples interest that correlate with yours. Anyway, don't feel bad about it. You are doing well.

try to list down thoughts or question that you may have for a day, then post it whenever you go online.. (got this tip from a friend) :P
