Part of our travel here at Sagada, Mountain Province is seeing the hanging coffins. It looked strange at first. COffins were made of wood and part of them were hanging on cliffs. There was even one chair attached to one coffin and we learnt that it was part of their belief and/or ritual.
During the wake the corpse must sit on the chair and family and/or friends must stand or sit beside for about an hour and a half before the corpse be put inside the coffin.
Oh My goodness! isn't that creepy?

I never went to Sagada and I do not want to explore such a hanging coffins makes me more afraid not sleep in the night to think if I could see those coffins in my eyes. It is really terrible, What are the foremost reason they do have that hanging coffins in Sagada and one more thing which part of the Philipines is Sagada as well..?

I found Sagada to be an interesting place to explore. The coffins are on the cliff. The guide says that it has something to do with their belief that the higher you are buried, the easier for you to go to heaven. Is it rainy there now? How are the prices during the rainy season? Are there lots of tourists? I went there during Holy Week and there were too many people that it decreased my enjoyment of the place. I hope to go there during off-peak season.
