The world is a very competitive place, and everyone is always trying to be the best. But when we strive to be better it only causes stress and anxiety. If everyone were to be care free about competition wouldn't that make life better? The Buddhist believe in this way of life and they are the happiest people on earth.

The happiest person is one who is ever contented with what he/she have. The more one is contented, the more still and stable one's mind is. Perfect stillness of mind leads to freedom from all kind of anxiety and stress caused by forces of fear of losing what we have and of the craze for what we do not have. As a result,a person get free from the desire and temptation of acquiring more power and wealth to control others. The desire and motive to compete springs from the desire for controlling. The element of competition is natural instinct of life. We need to accept this inherent truth.Thanks.

Your very welcome. I was forgetting to give best responses to people. There are a lot of people who just give a sentence response. I appreciate your consideration in writing more than that. Have a great day narayan!

Healthy competition always makes people achieve their full potentail, work with motivation. The competition becomes unhealthy if people resort to unfair means and get envious and discontented ,and stress themselves out. It is the attude that adds complication to competition.
