How many minutes do you waste on your phone?

After I had a fresh new start on life and cleared out many negative people in my life, I stopped using the phone. More meaning conversations, we have face-to-face, so I only used cell phones for emergencies or if in a problem or something. I know there are a lot of people who spend time on the phone/cell phone, talking about... nothing really important and they are addicted to it. How often are you on the your phone, every day? And do you feel insecure without it?

Most of the times when I'm on my cell phone, it's work related so I can't really say I'm wasting it. I'm on the road a lot & my work depends heavily on being able to communicate one way or another. I usually go through 2,500 - 3,000 minutes a month on work related calls, around 5,000 - 5,500 work related messages, not counting emails. On a personal side, I may use 400 - 500 minutes a month. I usually don't like text messages but there are times I can't answer the personal call because I'm in a meeting or conference calls with work so my girl-friend text messages me.

I use my phone every day but I can't really count how many minutes I waste using it. I am currently on an unlimited plan. So unlimited calls and texts. As much as I would like to call and text every single number on my phone book, I just have other priorities , more important priorities to attend to rather than using my phone all day long just to utilize its unlimited offers. But to count the minutes, it would be approximately, 12 hours. Almost half of the day, everyday. :) And no, I don't feel insecure without it. But I do miss not using it.

I use to babble babble all day long and all night long. But since I am working only online I do not have the time. Most days depending on who it I choose to hit ignore as I do not have that kind of time anymore.
