How do you get blood stains out?

No, I didnt kill any one, I got a nose bleed and it got on one of my favorite shirts, washing it fades it, but doesnt make it come all the way off. what works well?

Yes absolutely but only in cold water. Warm water will set the stain into the fibers. If he has already washed the shirt you will have to soak for a day or two in cold water as it may have set a bit already.
