I first listened to them in 1969 when I heard Saucerful of Secrets. Tat was the transition album going from Syd Barret to David Gilmore. I kept going from there.

I remember not really liking Umagumma when it came out, the there was Atom Heart Mother and Obscured by Clouds. Meddle was the first album where I thought they became more commercial and I still remeber the first time I heard Us and Them on the radio in 1973.

Hi there! I was late to music, never had much use for it but 16 years ago my now ex-husband took me to a PF concert and I absolutely fell in love. Because of Mr. Gilmour, I learned to play the guitar and I still enjoy it although I don't play well. We even went to the same concert a month later, clear across the country, made a party of it. I'll never forget the beauty of glistening raindrops falling across the copper laser lights as Gilmour played and sang Comfortably Numb.
I was just thinking yesterday as I was listening to Animals in my car how much "Sheep" describes what's happening in the U.S. today and how much Dogs describes so many people. Unfortunately I had to sell most of my music and books during my divorce and I'm feeling a need to replace all my Pink Floyd albums. I never heard a bad one. Even Roger Waters had some really good solo projects. Did you know that Gilmour played a lot of the bass lines on the albums because Waters couldn't play that well?
Good to find a PF fan here!

I've recently known about them!
I was misled, a guy told me that it was horror music.
In fact, it's spiritual, as said by some. I'm not quite sure. But I'm trying to explore it, and I'm gonna find it for myself.
So far, I've known that it's legendary!

I've been listening since when I was 13 or so. I started with DSotM, then started listening to The Wall. I loved Side Two of DSotM because those were the more emotional parts of the album. I was looking for Another Brick in the Wall, Part Two when I tripped on The Wall album. I enjoyed it quite a lot, and also listened to the live versions (Earl's Court) of each song. It was completely incredible stuff.
