With the high price of electricity?!* I live in TX and its 100+ all the darn time. My a/c is working overtime. No one is mentioning other sites or software that is designed to "spy" on your internet habits. Take it from me, I downloaded all types of software free and some paid for. No what it got me? My computer crashed twice from all those viruses and malware. I also got tons of spam from sites that seem to match exactly what I surfed. Luckily my hubby knows how to fix and my pc was restored. Never again and thats just my opinion. Yeah the ad says its easy, let your computer do all the work. So tell me, do you like these kinds of programs? Are you all ready to sign up?

I try to be very careful what I download from the internet. I am glad that my oldest son is now a computer tech, so usually I will ask him before I download anything. I have a lot of pics on my computer and I don't want to run the risk of losing all of them, if my computer completely crashes. I have had a few computers in the past that all of crashed, so I guess I had to learn my lesson the hard way.

Same here! Why not take extra protection and save your photos on a cd or those small image disks? Those things hold a ton of photos and take up very little space. The cds are cool for family gatherings since you can view them like movies and store with the rest of the videos. Good presents too!

Great idea...however, this takes computer sense which you are assuming I have...LOL. I do need to transfer them a CD or a data storage to protect them. I actually was thinking of transferring some of them to one of those photo frame things that holds alot of pictures. I think it would make a great present for the in-laws who rarely see the kids as they live on the other side of the country.

Remember Cashfiesta years ago?
This may be along the same lines, with a little surf bar up on your screen.
My problem is that I have a screensaver mode where my screen goes black after about 15 minutes. I'll have to change that if I sign up to that program.
I'd go on battery power for that time except that my battery doesn't last more than half an hour anymore, so it would be almost useless to go that route.
However, I'd be willing to switch back and forth.
I'll have to monitor my electric bills once I move to see if there's much of an impact having my laptop running almost constantly.
But I think I'll only have it on when I'm online, as I always do now, I don't see much of a point keeping it on if I'm not using it.
I'm not worried about security, I'm not on a wireless connection anymore and I have my firewall and antivirus programs constantly running.

I wont be surprised, many people will try to promote it to get referrals.
I don't know what happened to them. When they upgraded their surf bar, that was it for me, my computer didn't support it and I couldn't use it anymore.
Many people called it a scam, I tend to agree as it was extremely slow to earn anything on it. It was time consuming and you pretty much had to be at your computer all the time because the little guy would sleep or start running across the bar.
It wasn't worth it, and I'd never use that one again if it were still around.

I remember cash fiest but never joined myself. What happened to them? You make very good points indeed. Let us know how much electricity it takes to keep the pc on for 24 hours. Also let us know how the program works out after joining. Quite sure there are going to be tons of posts when it opens!!!

I agree with segeantrom,
We must protect our computers not only from downloading software,
but music too. Not to mention visiting some websites can cause a crash. Additionally,
it is a good idea to keep the antivirus software up-to-date too.
Quiet as it is kept, some of the download antivirus software do not detect everything.
Moreover, I do not like giving out my email addres for anything anymore. I have
about 4 or 5 different emails to use for different mail. Never leave
your computer on. Experts even advise people to unplug the Internet cord
when the computer is not in use.
Yes, I use to sign up, download, and upload, but not anymore. I have
a new computer now. :)

I forgot about the music sites!!! Thats how my first crash took place. My kids downloading music because I never downloaded anything before. Thats true on the virus software not catching all too especially the free virus software. They do just enough right up until the free trial ends. Then all of a sudden everything starts happening with malware and popups. Thats how I got my second crash! No more downloads for me. Im with you buddy.

Until cg is released, really dont know what its all about. I am guessing from the posts about it. Just wait around and see what everyone else says. No need to rush right in and do anything. Believe me, mylotters will let you know all the details very soon. Decreasing network speed? If you are earning on the net, thats a BIG thing! We need that speed dont you think? Time is money!
