A very young kitten all on its own

dear jj, it is sad to say that here in my country, kittens are just popping in like mushrooms. and they don't have owners! i don't have cats nor kittens because i am allergic to their fur. and my dog is very spoiled and jealous dog, so i don't think he will like a kitten in my house. i hope the animal pound will do a better job of controlling stray kittens and dogs too. have a nice day. ann

That is so sad! I had nightmares for weeks when I hit a possum, I could imagine how I would feel if I hit a pet. I can't understand why people get pets if they don't want to care for them. Imagine letting a little kitten fend for itself. The people should be shot!

That is very, very sad, that would have broke my heart. It could have been a kitten from a ferrel cat or a cat that had no owner. Of course that cat was let go my someone at some time. People really do need to look after their animals better, and if they don't want to deal with kittens they should really get their pets fixed. Breaks my heart to hear of a little young kitten killed like that.

Hiya jugs, Very sorry to hear about your Cat getting killed is that the one that went missing then and you got him back after a while? What a shame either way after all that. Now you have got another kitten what it´s like is it a he or a she and what kind is it then. It must be a lovely little thing. Again sorry about the Cat you will still be missing it of course you will. We swerved in our Car the other week to miss two very tiny Basset Hound Puppies in the middle of the busy Motorway going out of Madrid. It was pitch black so we just missed them thank goodness but we could not turn back and we could not phone anyone or tell anyone they were there as there were no Police or anything. Goodness knows what became of them. It really upset me to think they could dump such beautiful animals in the middle of such a Motorway and it was done on purpose no doubt about it as there was no way the puppies could have climbed those embankments by themselves. We were not allowed to stop right there otherwise we would have picked them up and took them somewhere but not in that hell place. I sent them a silent prayer and just hope someone took pity on them. It marred my Journey down South I could not really enjoy it thinking of those poor defenseless puppies. Hope your Kitten is fine sad about the other kitten too.

I admit I'm not an animal lover, I have no interest in keeping pets. But I'm also disgusted at abusing animals. If one can not manage his/her pet appropriately, he/she is not qualified to haveing pets.

I don't know why people do this. But it's all too rife. It disgusts me. My answer to the problem would be firing squads. Without blindfolds.

Hi Jugs I do not know why People do this My Son when he was 14 found Lucky and she was not even old enough to be away from her Mum, I did not think she would make it but she did after being up all Night with her, bathing her feeding her and keeping her warm I wish People would think what responsibility Pets are before they take them on and then find it is to hard work

Some people have cats on farms to kill mice and such. Farmers and old time people don't take care of the wild animals that live around their property. They feel the animals help keep down populations of varmits and other type animals they don't want around. It may be that the kitten's mother was killed or didn't know this kitten got away too.

It is so very sad. We adopted one of our cats Rosie because she had been abandoned. We tried everything in our power to find her owners all to no avail so we decided to keep her. This was six years ago. It has taken a long time for her to warm to us because she had been clearly abused. Sadly there are some very uncaring and cruel individuals who should not own pets of any kind.

how sad,i never understand why people let such young cats outside,when i got my cats they weren't allowed out until they were between 15-20 weeks,it's the same as letting a toddler roam the streets on their own,you just wouldn't do it would you

They are irresponsible people who thinks that animals are useless and should fend for themselves. These kind of people don't know how to love even for the humans.

The kitten was probably born outdoor from outdoor cats. Unfortunately people forget to get their pets spayed or neutered and then they have outdoor babies. Then the babies are unfortunately scared of people and end up getting killed by dogs or other cats or cars. Its very sad. So remember everyone, unless you pay strict attention to your pet and keep them indoors, have your pets fixed.

We have people that come in a horrible way with animals. not understand them I am disgusted.

ya,all home's are having a pet animal but they don't do kit it.they r very take care heself.and they r providing food and accomodation in their animals.all human beigns consider their pet animals and need to be cre with it self.so take care our own pets.

That's a shame. Some people shouldn't be allowed anywhere near an animal.

Like small children, the kitten could have just slipped away. It happens.

Well, there are really that kind of people. They want to have pets but they do not know how to take care of them. Some do not like to buy foods for them and just let their pet look for food somewhere. In our neighborhood there's a lot of cats and kittens scavenging for food in the garbage. I wonder who's pets they are. They are also being hurt by other people because they are caught eating whatever food they could in other people's kitchen. I hope people should realize that having pet is a responsibility.

there is some people can't take care of them selves and what about other stuff

I think that it is soo sad how some people do not look after the animals that they have,as well as the animals that their pets give birth to.I feel that with a person that lives on the estate that i live at should start looking after what she has rather than making her cats and kittens care for themselves.
